Also, I wonder if there is some way to copy saved data. I have the thingy Sony made for PS3 BC consoles that allowed you to connect a memory card to a PS3, I wonder if it'll work.

Considering I still have my PS2 set up and been playing Shadow Hearts on it off and on lately...meh. At least people will stop bitching about backwards compatibility.
Now, if Sony somehow manages to insert trophy support for even just select games, this could be big news for trophy hunters & fans looking for an excuse to revisit an old favorite.

Yesss! If this supports discs, at least the ones I have, I'll be getting a PS4 then.
This is a great news!!!
Please support discs, make trophy support bring PS1 games to PS4 too and! Then I would be really happy!
There are so many PS2 games that I would like to play, this is good news.

Yeah, but what about PS1? Feels weird to talk about PS2 emulation detached from PS1 emulation.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
This is great news and all but 95% of the players won't use this and most of those that do will only buy 1 or 2 titles.
