Forums - Gaming Discussion - What's up with all the bad/mediocre exclusives on Wii U lately

We can conclude that Nintendo doesn't get a free pass from reviewers, and when their games score high (which usually do) it's because they're that good.

Yes, last year "the media is nintendo biased" argument when Nintendo exclusives were getting great scores all the time was annoying as hell, maybe now some people will realize that all those games were actually that good.

WTF is going on???

WiiU is dead, almost no third party support and Nintendo has switch focus to the NX. What are you expecting?

The Nintendo Seal of Quality expired and they have to renew the trademark

It represents the "Quality" of recent Wii U games. They are poorly made with low budget. Wii U games are scarce and whatever they are of very poor quality.

They're the Z list of titles. No one was expecting great things out of them. The filler inbetween Nintendo's flagship releases which have all abandoned a 2015 release bar Xenoblade.

Imagine if Zelda, Pokken, Xenoblade and StarFox were released this fall. At one point thats what 2015 looked like :')

Mario Tennis could have scored better but I can't be bothered to look at why it did poorly. Probably too simple.

PS2 and Xbox 360 were also dead. Yet they got very good support at the end of their lifetime. Lots of third party games and exclusives. Thing is longevity is important. Nintendo dont do much longevity when it comes to home consoles.

I hated Amiibo Festival the second it got revealed and I'm not even an AC fan! So glad to see it get the reviews it is getting.

Your talking about two of the most successful consoles of their generation. Especially the PS2, at the end of their lifetime their install base were massives. PS2 is the best selling consoles of all time.

WiiU is at the end of the lifecycle and only has 14 million sold... most of these system are simply collecting dust.

Some are budget spin off games to fill in for 2015 to make the lineup better.. but still not very good
