Turkey fans were heard booing during the minute's silence for the victims of the Paris attacks before kick-off.

Chants of 'Allahu Akbar' - the Islamic phrase meaning 'God is greater' - were reportedly heard in Istanbul.

It seems that there are a lot more extremists than the media would have you believe. The same thing happened in the Ireland vs Bosnia game. Bosnia, of course, is a country with an Islamic majority.

Really sad and depressing.

The current international situation is all kinds of fucked up.

It's sad that there's people with such disrespect.

Turkey is hostile cuz Thanksgiving is around the corner.

I agree but moslty with religious types, plenty noraml decent people.  Belif in the super wizard in the sky screws them up.

I don't think that either Turkish fans booing or the Paris incident itself are even remotely as important as many of us think they are. Maybe "think" would more appropriately be replaced with "(too) strong media suggestion".

People are dying every second in this world, children are getting murdered or simply dying of thirst and hunger (and I don't mean figuratively) as we speak. As we type and pretend that everything is cool. As we sleep calmly.

I guess some lives are more important than the others. Same as they always were.
