Forums - Nintendo Discussion - XCX load time comparison: with and without data packs

My dad bought a bunch of extra flash drives for no reason. I guess I can use one of them for the data packs.

Hope it's better than chronicles, it's a good game, however, a lot of it seems like one massive chore and the affinity system is so dumb and unrealistic.

I'll probably download the basic pack at least since that one has the most noticeable effect iirc.

I'm not expecting it to be better than the original. The feedback i've been having is that the story isnt nearly as strong, wich isnt surprising with a mute character.

Dont know how the affinity system works on this one, but again expect to grind. There are factions to maximise and i believe they are tied to progression.

So yeah... i love the original and loved this one when i saw it, but i'm prepared for it to be worse.

I'm still trying to decide if I will buy it digitally or the disc. I have the harddrive to download it because of my internet connection. Getting Fatal Frame took me multiple attempts over 2 hours.

If you download it, you don't need the installs apparently.

They're to compensate for the disc drive's data streaming limitations.

Since I don't own an external hard drive, I probably will not download the packs (maybe just the basic one) in order to save some space

Wait, doesn't Shulk talk in the game?

How is he going to be mute?

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Shulk is the main character of the first game. He is voiced.

The second game has a player-created avatar that is not voiced, at least not in story cutscenes. Instead, you choose from dialogue choices presented in text.

So, no more shulk...
