Why bother with a 5 year old COD when they release a COD annually? I don't think that really has much to do with MS. That has activision's miasma of greed all over it.

Because its a good game. Basically every CoD since MW1 still has an active online community.

To each their own then. I personally didn't buy a next gen console to play previous gen games. What's considered an active online community by the way?

*Edited.

We didn't buy next gen consoles to play last gen games... but its a huge fucking bonus because of added value. People didn't buy next gen consoles to play remasters but millions do play them.

You know there is a lot of notable stuff on 360 that many people simply didn't play. Especially the niche stuff, some of which is already on X1 BC.

In my opinion an active community is simply enough people using a game online that you can get a full room going without any trouble in a few modes at any time. In a game like SFIV, I can find someone playing at anytime so that has an active community as well. Frankly most games on 7th gen consoles have nobody using the multiplayer. However, you can still find thousands or even tens of thousands playing CoD, BF, Halo, Gears, and Titanfall. It seems to me millions of people are still playing 360 and PS3 games online on a regular basis years into the 8th gen..

Is this really that big of deal? Who's going to buy it?

I wanted to play with my Nephew who's still on the Xbox 360. Take advantage of the new backward compability from Xbox One. I was very surprise and shocked to see they would still sell this game at full retail price Canada and a small discount in the US.

Anyways, I wind up buying Borderlands instead for $19.99, it's strange going backward in life cycle of series, I been playing borderlands 2 recently and Borderlands 1 is major step back but still very enjoyable game and you can see that they have the right formula for what would eventually be the next game in the series.

Edit: I also bought a used copy of Black op 1 for $10, the only problem is that I need to get another copy in order to play with my nephew. I picked up COD Black op and Fallout 3, The backward compability on Xbox one work flawlessly. It even open the opportunity to finally be able to chat with Xbox 360 players.

Lol I paid less for Black Ops 3 physical on PS4 brand new on launch day.

You should game share with your nephew. Buy digital and have him download your games first to his 360 from your account. Then you will both be able to play from one purchase.

I sure did! Paid once on his Xbox Live and made My xbox one his home. Worked perfectly.
