Who in their right mind enjoys taking a disc out, putting a disc it, over and over again.  The only benefit these days is it does not really matter how scratched the disk gets, as long as the meta data is readable the game still runs.  And again, NO ONE on Earth cares about a video game collection.

I've found that quite a few people care about my video game collection.  It's quite a nerdy circle of friends.  Either way, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks because I do it for me.

Exactly.

Physical copies only unless it's an indie title. Digital games this gen is far less convenient than it was last gen. The hard drive space just isn't there. Just the other day I had to delete a bunch of games off of my PS4 to play another game. Yet, I have never had to delete anything on my Wii or Wii U before. Gotta give Nintendo credit for actually compressing their games whiles till having incredible load times without installs.

And besides I have a decent size gaming collection that I would like to expand on :) So no I don't.
I'd also like my instruction booklets back, filled with beautiful art. At least Nintendo hasn't sold out here.

I definitely get some of you here, but being able to turn on my Xbone at midnight of a release title I want, already have it preinstalled and playing it within minutes is absolutely AWESOME! I hate big releases and waiting in line with a million people or showing up super early, then (at least when the consoles were released) coming home to find out that installing the game I wanted to play (even though I own the disk) is going to take like 4 freaking hours. I found myself not even being able to play the game day 1. (This happened with the only physical game I bought which was COD: Ghosts.)

Odds are (though I don't know) that the installation stuff for physical games can be done before getting the game, but digital only has actually been a positive experience for me.

You can just preorder the physical games from amazon it will be avaible 95% of the time @ day 1

But maybe that will be the future of gaming too. Where if you preorder they send you a box, but inside would be an art book and map, ect. Just not a disk.

I would really appreciate that actually. Optical discs are a waste of resources and should die out as soon as possible.

On my PC everything but two games are digital (even then those two are now digital besides their physical install CD's) and half my games on 3DS are digital. I think my 3DS is the only system I'll ever get some physical games for but with time I can see that becoming all digital as well since memory for both PC and 3DS are very cheap for me to expand yearly. That and I don't see the purpose of physical with digital being cheaper for me and saving physical space and not degrading.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

I buy physical unless the game is on sale on the PSStore or me and my GF both want to play a game with the PSStore version we can both play at the same time

Tell that to the people who make boxes with discs and let you download the game anyway. Synthetic materials are precious. We shouldn't waste it on outdated data storage.

No. Probably never will go full digital. About 60/40. In favour of physical. It's still the same price and at times, cheaper.
