Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo gamers, would you even buy Black ops 3 if it came to the Wii U?

D3 better than BO3, hahaha good one.

on topic: I would consider it, but since the ps4 one would look, play, and feel better (along with my friends having a ps4), I would probably just play on ps4

Im being serious, I find COD to be the most underwhelming franchise in gaming. Whilst Devils Third was slated, I have had nothing but pure entertainment out of it, and the online is a hoot.

Not only are the graphics on cod better, there is a massive amount of content over D3 (zombies, campaign, multiplayer), and there is a much larger community on bo3, which helps find matches sooner. Likewise, the PC version of cod will contain support for modding, which is great for the community.

I'm assuming you haven't played recent cod games if you find the content "underwhelming" compared to D3.

Likely anyone who has a real interest in COD would have invested in another console or PC gaming by now.

A Wii U version would have only sold to afew people who were just curious and the 0.09% of console owners who buy games to make a political point or try and secure future third party support for their platform of choice.

This right here, is the truth.

Nintendos lack of foresight forced people who want these games away. Nintendo really needs to do all it can to get them back, because as we are seeing with the ps4 third party really matters.

Nah. Not interested.

No, I wouldn't want Activision to waste my time. If they made World at War 2, I'd consider.

Nope. The PS4/XB1 versions would be better, so if I was interested in buying it, I'd buy one of those versions. I like Nintendo and all, but I'm not going to spend $60 on an inferior version of a game just for console politics.

It's not even like it makes a difference, I did buy Black Ops II on the Wii U for launch, but clearly not many other people did, and that was at least more or less on par with the PS3/360 versions.

Agreed. I appreciate that the Wii U version of Black Ops II has some cool GamePad features, but in general the game performed worse than other versions.

So I'd rather go for the version that plays and performs best.

Now, if Nintendo worked with Activision to create a unique title - maybe a spin-off like Big Red One - that took advantage of the Wii U hardware, I'd be all over it.

Or Nintendo could stop making hardware that's maybe 5-6 years behind their competetion? Third parties aren't going to give any one of three hugely preferntial treatement like making an entirely new game for just one hardware vendor from a huge IP like COD because the company has slapped a screen on a controller.

Sony and MS I'm sure would love to have their own console exclusive COD built specifically for their machines too. That isn't how the business works and if Nintendo was expecting that they really are naive.

I'm really surprised that the Wii U didn't even get the last gen water down version at least. To answer your question i wouldnt buy but thats because I own the other 2 consoles

PSN & XBOX GT : cutzman25

I don't play COD. But assuming I'm a fan, for this thread, no. The game would be gimped in functions & features. Like voice chat, or modes, or DLC. It's happens basically every time on Nintendo's systems. I bought Shovel Knight on PS4. Because I just assume all games will be inferior on a Nintendo system, in some way. Nintendo wants to do what they do. I have no choice but to disagree and give my money elsewhere.
