Halo 5 + other factors also increased XB1 sales by "just" 136k, which also isn't that great. Shit month for the 2 big consoles IMO, lets hope it's because a lot of people were waiting for the November bundles. |
So Chartz hit the nail really close to the head.

Max of 7k increase (that would be a tie) with a $50 pricedrop. Awful no matter how you look at it unless I'm missing something huge here. |
Would have to be considered awful for both consoles frankly, Halo 5 launch month should've been a very, very clear win.
To put things in perspective in terms of how XB1 did and how Halo 5 pushed sales: Titanfall month > Halo 5 month http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=185248196&postcount=287
Geez, if PS4 did below 300K that's pretty bad. Perhaps the number is just within a couple of thousand so PS4 at 302K and Xb one at 305K something like that. Even so, Oct not great for either console given what should have been driving sales for both.
Still I guess PS4 has an excuse with those SW and BO3 bundles really grabbing people's attention.

Overall it wasn't really a good month for either console, but at least Xbox can say they won so there's that I guess.

lol why? They nearly tied in Halo 5's launch month without any major launches of their own, with the very next month being November w/ CoD, SW and Black Friday. |
Just joking, it is what people say every time PS4 loses
Wow I thought everyone was predicting numbers too high for a month such as October but even I didn't expect it to be this low. November better bring the millions

On weekly basis both February 2014 and Halo month (Oct 2015) was better then Titanfall month (March 2014).
