Forums - Website Topics - Spell check should be built into all areas of VGchartz.

Should vgchartz integrate spell in forum wide?

I've been saying this in just about every thread that has been created for the purchase of finding out what users want to see added to these forums and every time, it gets ignored. I love this place and thouroughly enjoy the people here but the fact that in 2015, there is no built in spell check within quoted replies/new threads etc. is ridiculous. We live in an auto-correct society these days. Every major browser has built in spell check. Even our URL bars spell check for us.

I think it's high time we take a vote on this and get it done. What do you say?

Why would we need it when every browser has it built in?

Though I would be in favor of banning repeat spellcheck ignorers.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Only certain typing areas allow the spell check to work. If I'm doing a qoute reply. It doesn't work. If I do the quick reply, it does.

Ehh, it's nice, but nothing too mandatory.

It's nice for mobile, but that's about it.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I tend to ignore spelling errors if there aren't that many in a post and the point gets across just fine. Though I have run into a couple of posts in the past where I basically have to decipher stuff.
Personally I feel something that corrects grammar would be a more welcome addition.

Browsers and mobile operating systems have integrated spell check. I don't see even the slightest need to add another layer of spell checking.

Also, I hate spell checking which is why I always turn it off. It'd be great if it recognized every single word but it doesn't. In fact, there's a whole lot of words it doesn't recognize.

Some they don't catch. I'm starting to think ppl actually want lose to be loose 😂

Spell check for Rich Text Reply would be great

Spellcheck doesn't work with the Rich Text Reply on any site I use. It's more an issue with the Rich Text editor itself and how browsers see it, I think.

Why would you wanna waste precious time from overlord ioi? Those 5 minutes he would spend to install the tinymce spellchecker plugin could go to far more important things...
