Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox One BC Fanfare [BC Database] "10 new titles for January. Titles will release when available from now on" - "BC is region free" - "Free multiplayer for 360 games played on One"

How are you liking the initial 104 BC list?

Love it! 83 24.41%

It's good, could be better 77 22.65%

Just OK 52 15.29%

Meh... 60 17.65%

I hate Xbone 19 5.59%

Just being nosy 49 14.41%

Total:340

From what i know right now i can play 11 of my 360 games from the start. And my reduced 360 collection should be somewhere around 80-85 games including digital. I just download GwG i'm really interested in and don't have as retail though.

With the known december titles, Bayonetta not included, i'll be at 14 games at least.

20 games a month sounds good.

pbroy's posts should be considered spamming, seriously.
That said, to me it's not that convincing of a list as many games I own are not on that list. Perhaps I'll wait another half a year. By then, it should be around 250 games and perhaps some of my titles are in it, then.

While the posts are cool for what they contain... the concept of 100 posts for a list of information about games is kinda daunting. A bit of condensing would go a long way to making them great I think.

OT - If the plan is 20 games a month for even the next year that'd be 340 titles coming up on the Xbox360s number of titles it can play from the original Xbox library. Seeing stick of truth on the list here is great for anyone who missed it last gen should pick up a copy and blast through it on the X1.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

One problem simply is, it would be great for 360 owners if every possible title would be released at once but it would be dumb for publishers.
They benefit from selling digital copies with basically no effort.

Now just for example, we have five last gen only Ass Creeds and eight last gen only CoD's. Flooding the shop with all titles at once basically leads to people buying less overall. Some might pick Black Ops, others Modern Warfare 2, again others Black Ops 2... and then everyone is more or less fed up.
Releasing one game at a time gives every single game the full attention.

And yes, there's all the usual suspects like licensing issues for comics, music, movie games... and possibly publishers that don't want those digital releases. Especially if there's a remaster.

I believe that pretty well agrees with what I just said. This gen simply hasn't delivered on games yet in several genre's, so BC IS valuable.

Well... that's a negative perspective. Every gen has great games worth revisiting. Even if 8th gen delivers great games in every genre, there are still a lot of great games in previuos gens that are worth looking at.

I never understood that mindset. I mean look at all of the classic collections, remasters, cross gen titles, Arcade games, etc.  I still play SMB for Pete's sake! Not the reason to buy a console but not something to be overlooked, either. Games don't have an expiration date.

Excited fallout 3 is in the original BC line-up. Never played any of the fallout games but love the elder scrolls series so playing it'll help me decide on whether to get fallout 4. =^_^=

Now bring on reach and skyrim pl0x

I still have Fable II from that list. I'm sure my kids will like that game when they're old enough. Although they could just use the 360, it still works! :)
PGR, TDU, Rallisport, Burnout revenge and Viva pinata are games I might give another go.

Men, Burnout was great. The only Racer not named "Mario Kart" that I really loved playing online. Part of me died when those servers closed.

Right, there is this weird mindset on the interweb that people only care about the latest and most cutting edge.

But some of these remasters and compilations sell millions. So clearly there is always an audience for great games regardless of age. Sometimes they just need to be available on a modern platforms to get attention again or from new players.
