Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Game Awards are Dec. 3rd. What to expect from Nintendo?

I literally don't give a shit about anything from that company but Zelda anymore. Just fucking give me Zelda.

Around the Network

December 3rd is a day before December 4th. December 4th is the day Xenoblade X comes out for the western hemisphere.

I predict something for Xenoblade X at December 3rd for its release on December 4th.

Also, this will take place at a Microsoft theater in Los Angeles. Thought that was interesting. And Xenoblade X has a city called New LA.

"The show — called, simply, the Game Awards — is now the closest thing the games business has to its own Oscars. The second Game Awards show will take place Dec. 3 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, where Mr. Keighley is expecting about 4,000 attendees, compared with 3,500 last year. He projects that the Internet audience will be more than the two million who watched in 2014. While game companies were the only advertisers last year, he has nabbed Verizon as one of the sponsors this year."

Oh, and since this is occuring at a Microsoft Theater, I think its safe to expect more annoucements for Xbox and PC than Nintendo this year who wants to be quiet about everything until next year (because of NX).

Haha, I think there are many others in the same boat with you there. It's been far too long.

I bet that the new Direct will take place this November. I think that if they'll save anything for the Game Awards, it'll be Zelda. Then they can show it to everyone live watching the Awards, not just in a Direct, and get a whole lot of exposure from more than just a Nintendo crowd so that game might be able to squeeze through a few more units.

I think that for an annual ceremony event in its 'infancy', their first show was incredible. Mario Maker, Codename STEAM, Zelda, really. I really do hope that the second can bring the hype once more.

bet: lost

I don't know why, but this nearly made me laugh to death. xD

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Maybe some Zelda U footage that Reggie talked so much about. Ya know, let fans know the game is still green. But then again, that'd be kinda cheesy and lame to do that twice.

It really depends on whether the Direct is before or after, and what is shown in the Direct..

but I'm sure they won't pass the opportunity to show off something like Star Fox or who knows, maybe even Zelda U?!

Nothing. They pretend Wii U not exist.
