Forums - Gaming Discussion - Games you loved that haven't aged well?

Do you still love most of the games you played several years ago?

Of course 77 86.52%

I don't remember 5 5.62%

They got old for me 7 7.87%

Total:89

Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box.

I played the first game and liked it, but the second game was the one that made me a huge fan of the games.

While feeling slightly outdated, it's(thankfully) a game that won't lose its quality from that.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Silent Hill (psx), MGS (psx), Soul Reaver (psx), Resident Evil (psx, though i have the remake for ps4 now)

"We all make choices, but in the end, our choices make us" - Andrew Ryan, Bioshock.

Beyond good & evil. I was excited about the remaster, yet I'm glad I played the demo first. I couldn't get into it anymore. It's 'free' this month on ps+, downloaded it in case I change my mind some time. Loved it on the game cube.

Hah, I was just thinking about that not too long ago. I can't really think of any games that I feel aged poorly. Most of the ones I have are still fun to play x )

Correction. Pokemon Red and Blue are too hard to play now, as in so dang slow... Once you get running shoes, you can never go back...

Didn't you still get a bike in those though?

It's the fact that you can't transfer pokemon from those to the the newer versions that killed them for me. But then Fire Red/Leaf Green came along so all is well in the end

Oh, that's true. I forgot about the bike. When I started the game again some time ago, it just felt slow to me. Maybe it's not as bad as I remember it, haha...

Weird i'm like the opposite. Red and Blue are easily the best in the franchise for me and most people and have aged great. It's the new games that I can't stand lol.

OP: Um. Probably any sports game that I loved back in the day.

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

Any game with tank controls and the Baldurs Gate:Dark Alliance games

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

Time Splitters 2, the graphics make my eyes bleed now. So bright!

Also Ocarina of Time, the original. I love this game but the blocky graphics are hard to deal with. This game needs a Wii U makeover, along with Majora's Mask.

Not sure for me, haha. I loved it as a kid, but trying to revisit it made me feel it has aged. Personally Silver/Gold was the last game I enjoyed in the series before it fell from grace.
