Title says it all. Back when Call of Duty hit its stride, did you ever think it would still be around or as big as it is today?
honestly no idea. i dont even remember lol. i probably thought they would remain in the WW2 or modern era.
personally i would love a MW4 without all this Sci-fi stuff.
not really, especially after mw2 and removing the dedicated servers on pc
I certainly thought it would evolve into something more futuristic. But I didn't expect it the series to get as nutty as Black Ops 3. Its now a sci fi action movie that plays like CoD.

All I remember back then were the people complaining about how WW2 was such an overused setting.
I thought CoD would have an awkward transition to Consoles from PC. But it seems taking risks payed off for Activision.
there are about 1000 bigger problems i my life than what a game franchise will evolve to over time. So I can confidently say this thought has never crossed my mind.
On the other hand I do get involved in discussions about some games of what I wish they had after I seen trailers for them.
Nope. Bought it entirely by accident. I was in Gamestop the day it came out and grabbed a copy. Realized it was good. Damn good. And addictive! Never expected it to grow, though. CoD2 was considered the 360 "killer app" but we were so burned out on ww2 FPS games. I thought it would take more than a change of era to make it relevant.
