My wish is that they keep it turn based. I still love old school turn based rpg's. This game is great, and with a faster, streamlined turn based system, it will be great again. Them changing the battle system is stupid to do, why bother remaking the original into something it wasnt? If they have a vision that's completely different, then make a new game with those ideas.

Yeah, it's great that SE will be making a console dragon quest game with turn based mechanics.  But they're well aware of the fact that DQ only sells a lot in Japan,and they wouldn't dare mess up a main DQ game in the area that is very stringent about having turn based games.

I've been wanting to yell that at them for years and have wanted fans just to bring that up already during Q&A sessions.  They keep making the mistaken assumption that because action RPGs sell over in America well they can just change an already establlished Turn Based RPG franchise into an action RPG franchise and it will sell more..but Pokemon begs to differ and it still outsells pretty much all action RPGs in America, without much effort too.

 

Gamers associate the best of FF with more laid back turn based gameplay, and  recently some of the worst with more action-oriented elements.  The damage has already been done and even though I'm excited about FFXV, I think it will only sell 4-5 millions units LTD.  That might be generous considering Japan's numbers will probably be smaller and preorders for FFXV are half that of KH3 over in America; both being AAA Japanese Action RPGs as it is.



Lube Me Up

Change the battle system, it was a mess. Fix the ambush rates. Shorten them spell/summons animations, specially that Sephiroth spell that destroys planets.



That its made cross gen with PS5, no joke. I don't think we're seeing this game before 2018 by which time PS4 will be dated and PS5 will be around the corner (2019 latest IMO)

Content wise, get some film/Television talent to help write the script. Specifically the english translation.

- Improve the story and add references to the compilation.
- Zack's flashback is now mandatory and playable.
- Yuffie and Vincent are mandatory.
- An actual final battle between Cloud and Sephiroth.
- Same VA's for everyone and good localization.
- An item to stop random encounters.
- Improved materia system with the ability to fuse some like Crisis Core.
- The ability to skip the animation of summons.
- New monsters and side quests.
- Some games on the Gold Saucer to be MP focused.
- NO STORY DLC.



- Modernised battles system but one that still offers full control over all characters (doesn't matter if its turn-based on real-time). All characters should be used in battles (e.g. switchable characters like in FFX)

- Core storyline and events to remain the same; nothing should be taken away, only added.

- Extra side quests that act as story based Easter eggs for the compilation (Crisis Core, Dirge of Cebereus, Advent Children etc.). This can include playable sections with Zack

- Make the characters more unique; the limits shouldn't be the only real distinguishing feature.

- Keep the materia system but revamp it so it allows even greater customisation. Each character should have their own unique materia that can be made, customised and attuned to improve their unique abilities and attributes.

- New items, enemies, Magic, Summons and secret areas.

- New and improved mini-games in the Gold saucer with online leaderboards, leagues and tournaments (online chocobo racing, battles, motorbike races etc.)

- Keep the vehicles



Keeping the ATB sustem.They can improve it and refine it, but dont get it out.
