2016 is so awesome for PS4-gamer.

2015: MH4U, Splatoon, XCX

2016: pokkén, FE fates and SFV. Would also buy MH X, MH Stories, Zelda U and DQXI but doubt they'll release in the west.

2015 is probably better. I mostly play older games, and only buy the very best.

I liked 2015, but you can't argue with Uncharted, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Persona 5, Fire Emblem and Horizon.

And that's just a few.

Personally, 2015 is better. Most Nintendo fans will say 2016 because of our glorified Zelda... but good Zelda games are a Legend. StarFox also looks like the worst game ever to some... SMTxFE and Pokken will make it a good year, and hopefully Pikmin 4 releases next year (and that'd make me reconsider).
2015, on the other hand, had my long anticipated (although a little dissapointing) Splatoon, the surprising Super Mario Maker, another one I couldn't wait for (and hope to get soon) Yoshi's Woolly World, and... probably my most anticipated and hyped game ever, X. Yes, more than Smash or any Pokemon game.
This is just me speaking tho and I don't have the cash (or willingness) to get many more games/systems besides Nintendo.

is actually embarassing when you consider no retail exclusives until october, one console exclusive in the first half of the year, and the games they do laud is your 'expected' Halo & Forza. Otherwise remaster of gears, port of rare replay, cross-gen timed tomb raider and fable which has been in beta since god knows when.

Very strong end of year from Xbox. On any other platform you'd have to say next year - remains to be seen if Xbox can top its 2015.

Overall though, that'd likely mean 2016 for non-Xbox owners.

I'm going to have to go with 2017.
