Resident Evil could show up, its been over 3 years since RE6 and theres a new film releasing in 2016 too. Big show, lots of people will be attending/watching, good place to announce it if it doesnt show up at the The Game Awards. Will be announced with the RE6 Remaster.

God of War 4 will probably end the show, but I dont expect them to announce much new. All hell would break loose if Kojima turned up, or if they announced the long awaited JRPG from Japan Studio.

Edit - I forgot about Sony Bend. Can probably expect the PS4 game theyre developing to show up.


while i doubt Agent will show up. a part of me is really really hoping for a Red Dead Redemption 2 announcement. its bee 5 and a half years since RDR released. its unlikely, but i am hoping.

If you go in with this mindset you will be utterly disappointed as E3 15 a.k.a the holy trinity plus one (FF7:R/TLG/Shenmue3 plus Horizon) probably won´t be topped for several years (if ever).

May 2010 it released, with GTA5 launching in 2013.

We are due a new Rockstar announcement...

BraLod, your avatar reminds me off Jiraiya Sensei aka Pervy Sage. Can I call you Pervy Sage from here on out or until you change your avatar?

I think if they show GOW4, it won't be released any earlier than holiday 2016. From what I remember Cory only started building his team from nothing just before PS4 launched.

This August will probably mark 2 years from then which I don't think it's enough time to build a new GOW, especially if it will be as big as he makes it out to be.

Crash making a comeback would be awesome. I think it will be happen only as an Activision partnership along with a movie deal. I can see Activision and Sony thinking business like here - game, movie and merchandising.

I would love a new Getaway, but I don't think they would announce Getaway and Agent on the same date, that would pretty much be burying Getaway under the hype of all things Rockstar.

I'm really hoping we don't have huge segments of NMS. As much as I'm looking forward to it, all I want is a release date. I'm sick and tired of seeing the same stuff again and again.

Sony is rebooting Spiderman again and with the success Rocksteady has had, I wouldn't be surprised if they teamed up with WB to make an exclusive Spidey game, although I think for the sake of film and brand power they should make it multiplat.

I don't know how does it remind you of Ero-Sennin, but sure, do it, it would be a honor to be called after Jiraiya XD

GoW can be a March game like Uncharted, Sony may be planning Horizon to be their big holiday game next year.
And TLOU should be next.

And yup, Sony could definitely try to approach Activision and make a deal for a game or a trilogy there, funding it.

Do you think the new GOW might be openworld similar to Darksiders? I loved Darksiders, it proved GOW could go openworld if they wanted to.

Well, watching Naruto is never too much!

I strongly doubt it. GoW 3 was already kinda open though, not that it had large envyronments but that they were mostly connected and you would end coming back at certain places from another places to go to a different place as well, but that's as much as it'll go, Santa Monica style needs a more controlled envyronment at least near the boss places. More akin to what Uncharted 4 is going for, really in the vein of GoW 3.

I dunno if a game like GoW would feel better being open world, I don't think Darksiders is exactly like it, even though it's a nice example and I liked what they did there, I think GoW has it's own nice formula/style the way it is. Darksiders had more of a RPG side than GoW, so I think it works better for it than GoW.
In GoW you won't be looking for places with hidden items or loot from enemies, just orbs and the natural upgrades you are able to get during the pacing of the game as new magic and weapons.

I feel like GoW 3 is the perfect example for any GoW game to come. It can be larger, but still controlled, and not so large as it won't pay off exploring with the lack of RPG elements in GoW compared to Darksiders.


I think I secretly want them to make a bigger GOW that lasts more than 8-9 hours. It is always over to soon, especially GOW 3.

 

I think 2 had the best combination of puzzles, combat, story and length, whilst 3 just took scale and bosses to a whole new level. 

 

I wouldn't want RPG elements in GOW, but to have dungeons and puzzles like Darksiders would be cool. They can always close things off for bosses or for certain moments where they run you through set pieces like the guardian fight in Darksiders 2 (the music to that was epic too).

Jak is not happening anytime soon, they even released screens of the long ago scrapped concept art of Jak 4.
