A person on reddit has posted an image of an Apple TV remote being shattered, with the fall only being approximately 2 feet from the ground.

While this was expected for a glass remote, the cost to buy a new one will blow you away.

It costs around 70+ dollars for a new Apple TV remote(half of the price of the Apple TV itself), meaning those who do own the new Apple TV should be careful using it.

Personally, I don't think a touchpad is worth the risk of having your remote cracked. Might as well use voice search, because that's good enough for me.

Not that ugly thing up there. And it still breaks.

It's obvious that glass would shatter.

However, a glass remote? I would've expected apple to make some sort of shatter-proof glass for it.
