Forums - Gaming Discussion - Which developer was the best acquisition?

Out of the many developers that have been bought out by Ninendo, Microsoft and Sony, who in your opinion was the best for the corporation? I would say Nintendo's purchase of Rare benefitted Nintendo greatly during the SNES and N64 era and their absence in the GCN days was very noticeable. Naughty Dog for Sony gets my vote however because they have expanded over 4 generations of consoles and each of their IPs have resonated. Bungie was a great grab but short-lived and only produced one(amazing) IP for Microsoft. What do you guys think?

The PS5 Exists.

Definitely Naughty Dog.
Working with Sony since 4 generations and always making so amazing games!

When you look at Naughty Dogs track record, I dont really think there can be any other dev team to match up with it.

Atlus, by Sega. Seriously, without the Atlus lineup, Sega would produce very little content. Every time we talk about Sega's future, people are more worried about Atlus that Sega.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Nintendo didn't own Rare, they had 49% and MS bought 51% what forced Nintendo to sell their 49%.

I have no idea why they didn't buy them, though.

Eidos. Probably the one thing that actually saved the whole company.
