Not sure where the 10.6M come from, but Sega only produced around 9.16M Dreamcasts (report after discontinuation) and shipped 9.13M until 2002 (2002 financial report).

Im sure a lot of Dreamcasts were sold dirt cheap not the price that the WiiU is.
