Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Halo 5 is Fantastic!

I know alot of gamers tend to judge a game off its lowest review scores however after playing Halo 5's single and multiplayer features i can easily say its fantastic in my opinion. I am a big Halo fan, i have played all the Halos including the Spartan Series and Halo 5 holds up to be my faverite Halo out of the lot.

My reasons are quite simple. Halo 5 offers the best Sound in the series, the gun noises and music would have to be up there with the best. It also offers the best visuals (no suprise) with the inclusion of 60 frames which has now made it hard to play any Halo game under the 60 frame barrier. The gameplay is by far the best and most important to me when i play these type of games, with the added Spartan moves and the slickness of the movment and aiming has made this game superiour to the rest. To top it off the multiplayer is the best iv played in any FPS game on the market, it is so much fun and addictive, this is a game that is taken up most of my time now. The campaign has been noted to be loved or hated and i love it, its story telling is as good as Halo 4's which i classed as the best in the series.

Game sits on an 85 Meta at the moment and when you think of FPS games, there isnt any i can think of which has a higher score so far. Halo is definitly up there with the best, it might not be scoring perfect 10s and high 90+ metas however i dont think FPS games will ever reach that high anymore. The standards for this genre are just so high and everyone has there + and - on what makes FPS games there cup of tea.

All i am going to say is avoid the haters of this game, if your a Halo fan i am sure you will love it, i am now playing though my 2nd time and am trying to collect all the secrets. And the Multiplayer.. I must say i havent had this much fun in awhile. Halo 5 is definitly up there as one of the best games in 2015 that i have played. I am sure there will be gamers who will disagree which is fair enough however when it comes to FPS sci-fi shooters, Halo is the king.

Just imagine how fantasticer it would be on PC. I heard they like shooters and SciFi.

I am patiently awaiting for my copy today. I preordered it through Amazon, I should have just went digital download.

I'm guessing a lot of people called into work today.

I've never been much of a Halo fan. In fact, I played some MCC and thought Halo4 was the most likeable, rest of them felt boring and I couldn't get over not being able to sprint. Halo 3 on 360 was the only one I finished but didn't really enjoy it.

But after seeing clips from Halo5 and reading reviews I've now spent the entire day thinking whether I should download it right away 😁 there's just so much else to play atm and next month..

How's the multiplayer for Halo-noobs?

I was the same, i played Halo 3 first which i didnt enjoy as much as the rest and Halo 4 was one of my favorites basically because i love how 343 tell a story. As the franchise got mature it started losing the over the top action which i think the classic fans loved the most. To me i am more into the realism and i think 343 have done an incredible job.

The multiplayer is awesome, takes time getting use to Warzone because i am not use to playing agasint big team sqauds, its not hard to play espseaiclly if your a beginner. Its tradition Halo, point and shoot with vehicles.

I would say pick up Halo 5, theres something you will enjoy in the package of this game.

There is a good chance we'll see an FPS hit 90+ in just a few weeks, actually. Borderlands, Far Cry, and Deus Ex all have a realistic chance, as well, if they're built and optimized for for current gen rather than just using last gen frameworks.

However, heavily linear FPS games are probably capped lower. They're being passed by their more open brethren in terms of popularity and critical reception.

Already bought it. just waiting to play it!!!! ahhhhhh EXCITED. HALO!

I've watched the last few missions in a walkthrough, that's enough for me.

It's amazing! I'm really loving it
