Before everyone starts posting studies they found online and label them as "Facts", I advise you to watch this video to know how messy these studies you are quoting are.

All the stuff I posted about "coffee reduceing cancer risk", is from this page, that has references to (medical) case studies.

Theres "source criticism" (not sure of the english word), but they arnt just makeing sh*t up or pulling random numbers out of thin air.

The article from washington post, seems like sensationalism.

(which usually means bending the truth, to get clicks/views)

Fuc*ing washingtonpost dont even bother saying where they got the info from, what case study are they reading this data from.

Until washingtonpost mans the f*** up when writeing articles like this, im calling Bullsh*t on coffee giveing higher risk of cancers, when all Ive read/seen says otherwise.

I am sorry if you felt personally targeted by my post. That was NOT my intention, we are all learners here. I used to blindly trust these studies and take what they say as unquestionable facts. I found out later that it isn't black and white. You can make any claim support it with medical evidence if you selectively publish studies that support those claims and skip publishing the ones that don't.

I've been reading more about biostatistics lately and try to learn how to dissect these studies and criticize them. ALL studies are prone to bias and errors. Learning how to do that is actually a big part of studying medicine nowadays, one of my friends is a physician and he was the one to open my eyes to the fact that "studies and research" doesn't automatically mean "facts".

I hope everyone watches the videos and read the articles in my previous post to grasp the importance of not believing every article you read online, and I am not talking about just coffee and meat here.

Considering cancer rank at #2 in the top 10 cause of death in US, I'm sure there are a lot more food that cause cancer than just those.

Please, don't believe everything you read. Even when it says "studies", "researchers" etc.

As a rule of thumb everything with the word sindonology is a lie.

Heard about this at school recently.

Guess I know what I have to go easy on.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

could go on (it helps on alot other types of cancers as well), but you get the point.

These are FACTs, with study cases that prove it.

Actually no they are not "facts" in every study I have ever seen on the subject they say it "appears" to reduce chances of certain types of cancers but they have not ruled out the possibility of other things that a coffee drinker is more likely to do to be connected as well.

They also cause unneeded suffering, but no body cares about that. Pleasure > health and well being of other beings is the human way.

That's true, unlike animals who are all friends and care about other animals.

I dont think this means anything.Everything in excess can cause harm, even great harm.Water, for example if drank in excess( and i mean ALOT) can even cause death!!Sure, to reach that point is extremely hard, but it is to prove that even the most basic element can be dangerous.I will keep eating my meat like always!

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

How many cows, pigs, or chickens kill other animals? Not only that how many of them kill other animals for "sport" or just for their own personal pleasure?
