PC gaming community sucks because it is full of cheaters. Good luck playing counter strike without some asshole using see through wall skins. You can't get ban for using them to because Valve allows skins.

You don't have to play with them.
The PC has more gamers than the Xbox One and Playstation 4 combined, it's community is massive.
Make some friends, do some private matches.
Heck, Join a team/group.

Yes you do have to play with them. They are sneaky and hard to tell using cheats, but a lot of them do.

I prefer PC for games that are on PC. I prefer console for games that are on console.

I also prefer to laugh at people who can only afford to have one of them and try to justify their limited purchasing power.

I don't know if you will believe me but every game I bought for myself I played to the end (except one).

My game collection (in the moment):

PS1 currently 10 games (I want to collect them again): played more games I have right now in my collection but there was no game I never played.

PS2 currently 30 games: Played all of them or rather looking through my collection and the games I played as a kid there is no game I never played.

PS3 more than 60 games (still increasing): Have played all of them except Heavenly Sword but that game wasn't that big of a mispurchase because I took it as a gift for one of my brothers who played it (don't know if he enjoyed it).

So, right now, 1 Game I bought on 3 Generation of consoles I have never played and that isn't going to change in the future (I hope).

I prefer console gaming because it feels more relaxing. Since I started working with PCs my pc gaming has steadily declined and consoles took over. Last gen I still moved my PC over to the projector to play in 1080p, yet this gen there's no need anymore.

I also still like to go to a specialist game store. To browse through the old games, see what's coming up or find something I've never heard of. It's fun taking my kids there now, they love it.

Steam sales might be cheapest, yet they hardly ever coincide with when I want to play a certain game. I've got enough of a back log on Steam and kickstarted games on the way that I've stopped looking at the sales. In Canada new releases are the same prices and sometimes cheaper on consoles, and you get a physical copy. You have the grey market on PC ofcourse, buy a key for less. But that still doesn't beat the resale value of a physical copy and it just doesn't feel right.

I usually watch something before playing a game. The disk is already in, so all I have to do is turn on the controller, press x a few times before the credits roll, switch inputs on the remote and I'm in the game. It couldn't be easier.

Somehow it's also more relaxing when I don't have control over how a game looks. On console it just works as the developer intended and I can focus on the story and gameplay. On PC I go into the settings first, to adjust it to my preferences and find a balance being quality and performance, usually change it a few times while playing, and setup my controller of choice. I'll check message boards to see what else can be 'improved', how to fix or work arround little annoyances, where the savegames are located for backups or cheating... (FTL you made it way too easy) You can say those are all pros, yet nowadays I see it more and more as distractions from actually enjoying the game. The only thing I really miss is being able to disable motion blur and dof effects on console. Most pointless effects ever during gameplay imo.

I don't think one is considered better than others. It's all a matter of preference. The only advantages one has over the other are the games available on the platforms.

Honestly, everyone's PC experience varies.

Most people will indeed beed a good rig to play the most recent games, but unless you absolutely want max settings, you don't need to have the strongest rig, and you definitely don't need to invest a whole lot if you mainly play indie games.

I regularly play on both PC and Nintendo console, and personally, PC is my primary platform of choice.

I only glanced at the op. I'm not a pc gamer but--why can't you use a TV as a monitor? I have a PC and a laptop connected to different TVs using VGA cables. They look great!

Umm, my pc is only connected to my TV. I don't have a monitor. Do some research before posting false info. I can play games at better settings than my ps4 and my pc only cost my $500 about two years ago. That, combined with me still being able to play ALL OF MY PC GAMES FROM FOREVER AGO, free online, much cheaper games, better sales, mroe frequent sales, more controller input options, more graphical settings, emulators, the fact that a pc is also a pc that can do many more things than a console, make it a much better experience, IMO. I have all 3 consoles (U, One, Ps4), but they come nowhere close to the experience of having a quality pc (which can be had for cheap, unlike much of the false costs I see people state around here). Not having to pay for online is just the icing on the cake. That is ridiculous. And It doesn't matter if there are more programs on PC (steam, origin, GOG, etc.); it takes two seconds to open one and boot up a game. 

Also, PC has plenty of exclusives. Just because they're not as talked about as uncharted, does not mean they are bad or nonexistent. 

I don't know why people keep posting these comparisons. If you don't want to build a pc and play games on it, then don't. Just play on your preferred platforms. BUt being ignorant of the diversity and scope of pc gaming is rampant on this site and it's pretty funny it's like some people are on a mission to shed pc gaming in a terrible light due to their console allegiance. it's funny.
