Forums - Gaming Discussion - customers can be so annoying!!!!

Huh, wonder why he wasn't interested in the Xperia 5. I guess the common consumer wants the ones you mentioned. If the one you suggested was a good deal, I wonder why they didn't at least check it out.

One woman at my office went out to buy an iPhone over lunch. Came back with a Samsung. When asked, she said it's because the shop person told her Samsung was more popular.

People with lack of research tend to go with the popular one though. They assume its the best product because it the most sold device.

Galaxy x6 active. He didn't ask for a Sony phone. He asked between iPhone or Samsung.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

If he wants a Samsung, he can get the S6 Active: http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s6_active-7114.php

It's IP68 certified (dust and water resistant up to 1.5 meter and 30 minutes) and MIL-STD-810G certified (salt, dust, humidity, rain, vibration, solar radiation, transport and thermal shock resistant) and has a much better battery life than the Xperia Z5 (according to GSMArena): http://www.gsmarena.com/battery-test.php3

If he wants to be dumb, let him. You tried to help the guy, you did more than whats required of you.
He wanted a samsung or iphone in the end, so you should just give him what he asked. Next time tell him they are the same.

People don't buy expensive phones for convenience, they do it for status. Its dumb, but its true.

Try working at a fast food place. I was a grill and sometimes sandwich prepper at Wendys for a little during my high school days. One time I prepped a sandwich and accidentally put pickles on the burger. Customer came back and demanded a new sandwich. Not sure if there is a pickle allergy out there but they could have just taken the damn pickles off.

Customers are annoying.  Scratch that... People are annoying.  That is why I try never to hold any type of job that has to deal with customers.  I did do a customer service rep for a company that was contracted by Comcast for 6 months after college.  Those were interesting days...  That was when Comcast was trying to get rid of the old land lines and go to VoIP.  Let me just say there were tons of pissed off customers.

I work In a phone shop and for those of youth know me,yes I am a major sony fan

Had a customer come in, first question

Which is better Samsung or iphone?

I said it depends on what you want to use it for

He said he was an out door person and needed long battery life a good camera, durable as he does kyaking

I suggested the xperia z5,  better camera, it's water proof! Which would be perfect for kyaking! And has a two day battery life, weeks when put on ultra stamina mode

Nah I'd prefer Samsung or iphone

Basically I showed him the perfect phone for his requirements and he wasn't interested

His question really meant what phone is more "popular "

Sorry just needed to rant

Those types of customers are just called 'sheeps'.

And yea that can be annoying since you were genuinely trying to help the customer to offer a phone that best suited their needs, yet they shut you down for a completely stupid reason.

Lol, you call that annoying .

When you deal with customers who don't even know any English, talk to me .

In Texas some feel they are entitled to Spanish speaking worker to help them out.  They get upset if no one speaks Spanish.

It is like this... This is USA.. Learn English.

I think you're overreacting. For whatever reason (most likely popularity/personal image) he gave you a choice of 2 phones. You should have answered his question first, and then alerted him to an alternative option.

I personally hate it when I ask for a specific answer, only to have the conversation derailed into another "look at this product"

You had good intentions, but I'm looking at it from the customers perspective
