Forums - Gaming Discussion - customers can be so annoying!!!!

Apparently the customer had already decided that he wanted either an iPhone or a Samsung (for whatever reasons, no matter if they're stupid or make sense), but couldn't really decide, so he pretty much just wanted to know what YOU would rather choose between those two options.

If I were in that situation and the employee would try to talk me out of both options, I'd probably lose trust in the employee and his recommendations as well, suspecting he might be biased.

Your story actually reminds me of when my best friend went into Media Markt (huge german electronics shop chain) in order to buy a TV. He had already done a little internet research and had already pinned down the choices to two specific models (I believe it was a Samsung and a LG) and pretty much just wanted to see both models in action before buying one of them. But some salesman came straight up to him, talked him out of both brands, and ultimately convinced him to buy neither model, but rather a Sony TV that was 50% more expensive.

The Sony TV turned out to be crap, and the salesman turned out to be a dedicated Sony promoter instead of a neutral shop employee...

I doubt the sony tv is crap to the other TV, they have more qulity overall thats why they cost more

He asked for a Samsung or an Iphone. It's so annoying when you want to decide between two options and people bring out another option you never asked for.

Aren't you like the most annoying employee? He's asking for a Samsung or an iPhone.. Are you getting a bigger commission for pushing Sony phones? Geez I hate that when store workers do that.. :P

Haha not at all commission based, I don't even approach customers I let them come to me lol

Maybe in the 90s.  It costs more because of brand.

It's not that the TV has a bad display built in or anything like that, and the TV is actually very stylish looking.

The problem is the user interface.

It has 1000s of Smart TV/online features, but my friend doesn't use them at all anyway.

The only thing he would sometimes use is the ability to plug in a USB stick and play media files from it. Unfortunately this only works in 30% of all cases, in the other cases the TV simply freezes and must be turned off and on again. He installed the newest TV firmware just a few days ago, but that didn't help at all.

The most commonly used feature of his previous TV was the ability to switch back to the last channel with a single button press on the remote. There doesn't seem to be any such button on the new TVs remote - maybe there is some possibility, but even after months he still couldn't figure out how, he's tried all buttons.

And the default color settings of his TV are just ridiculous, so oversaturated I feel like I'm getting eye cancer when looking at his TV. That's just a simple setting of course that he could easily change - but like most people, he just sticks to the default...

I'm not saying that it's an inherently bad TV - it might be the ideal TV for another person, but it doesn't fit my friend, who's no willing to spend any time setting up his TV or even touching an operations manual.

One woman at my office went out to buy an iPhone over lunch. Came back with a Samsung. When asked, she said it's because the shop person told her Samsung was more popular.

People with lack of research tend to go with the popular one though. They assume its the best product because it the most sold device.

coz people can be ignorant and fallow like sheep (coz they cant have they own opinion) most people are brainwash sadly.... fell sorry for them...

How do you know?

cause I used to have LG in the 90s and Sony and the Sony shit all over it, when I switched to LCD, I got a Sony naturally and it had so many issues that I kept taking it back for replacement, they even game me another model and had issues.. Switched to Samsung, picture was also clearer and never had an issue. Also had an LG and never had an issue.

Sony unfortunetly focused too much on Playstation and they lett their competitors get better and better and eventually over take them.

Today? who knows 2 years ago I still liked the Samsung more when I went to play with them in the store.
