the best that could happend to the world is donald as president
or was the other way...

Sure, provided you want to plunge us all back to 19th century social ideaologies.

Or you could plunge us into another civil war with all this mandatory gun buyback nonsense and we'll be back in the 19th century anyway.  Pick your poison.

Also both capitalism and communism predate the 19th century so...

As much as I support gender/race/etc equality in principle I'm done with it in politics given how many of these left leaning demographics seem to vote more with their touchy feely emotions and unrealistic ideals of saving everyone using other people's paychecks rather than following the founding principles of this nation, eg, individual liberty and property rights, no government monopoly on deadly force, and limited government power. Anyone who just votes for free stuff or to take away other people's stuff can fuck off and die for all I care.

Really though how many Mercedes with 22" chrome spinners and iphones does a poor immigrant need anyway?  Is this what we mean by "you cant live on minimum wage"?

I'm quite sick of having to pay my own way because I'm a white male and have pride in earning things myself while all the "poor immigrants" are rolling up to DES in their pimp my ride Escalades picking up their free checks.

1. No canddiate is pressing for a mandataory gun buy back.

2. Your paycheck supports much more corporate subsidies than private individuals.  If that doesn't piss you off, nothing will.

3. This nation was founded on Libertarian principles.  The right wing would rather cut the wings off the eagle than go back to those ideas.  I'm actually a Libertarian by ideology.

4. Your taxes pay for more free stuff to corporations than all welfare recipients by a considerable margin.  You could easily provide for all the existing and major proposed socialist programs by simply redirecting current taxes.

5. Immigrants with Mercedes and 22" rims are as much hyperbole as they are nonexistant.  I know you do not honestly believe that even a minor margin of immigrants or welfare recipients are driving a Mercedes or Escalades.  I'm unsure why you would suggest as much.

6. Go to your local welfare office and see you goes in.  If even 5% roll up in Escalades, Beamers and Mercs, I'll personally send you my next check to cover your tax losses....every week.  And don't forget that only a small percentage of your taxes actually go to welfare programs.    Approximately 10% goes toward the safety net programs.  70% is Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security and the military.

I ask that if you truly believe what you wrote that you do some research.   Ignore both sides fo the aisle.  Ignore the R's and D's.  Don't even take my own word for it.  Look up the true facts for yourself.  The answers will likely surprise you and piss you off.   I know it did me (a former R).

Thank you for countering baseless, political rhetoric with facts.

This is my first post. I'm a 31 year old Canadian teacher, living in the far north of Alberta. Believe me when I say this:

Canadians know a reasonable amount about American politics. No, not as much as you Americans do. But we know enough.

I always vote left. When it comes to American politics, I personally always favour the Democrats. Having a Republican President to the south doesn't bother me though. Until now.

Following is strictly my opinion. I'm trying to figure out how the hell more Americans are currently favouring Trump over any other Republican candidate. He comes off as ignorant, racist, sporadic, and has the potential to make the United States an even more unattractive country from the viewpoint of foreigners. Is this what Americans want?

Can someone please explain this to me?

Earlier this year, we had a huge debate in many southern states about the removal of a former battle flag from state owned peroperty as the flag is known for its symbolism of hate, slavery and white supremacy.

Many of us live in 2015 though many wish it were still 1815.

Oh, I know all about the Confederate flag debate.

It saddens me to think that the year is 2015, and there are so many people blind to real issues.  I am fortunate to live in such a multicultural country as Canada.

I read on this thread that someone said they weren't going to vote in the coming election.  I strongly urge you to change your mind.  Your vote counts.  Wars are fought, lives are lost for that very right.

I think it's really tough to take Trump seriously at this point. However, he keeps climbing in the polls, so it's fascinating to watch.

Democratic race is boring. Clinton has it locked up.

Republican is more interesting. Rubio the clear best shot to beat the dems but he might not make it that far. He doesn't have a clear victory in any of the early voting states. If he can survive and get strong thirds or seconds he may just stick around along enough to eventually winning the whole thing once bigger more moderate states like Florida, California, Ohio, New York start voting.

(I work with the Rubio camp in Iowa by the way)

Wait, I thought you were a Dem?

Tell us some Rubio camp stories!

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Am I going to vote? No. Why? Because it's fake. You have two actors, both are liars, both are going to fuck us in the end, so I choose not to participate.

You don't have choice. You have the illusion of choice.
