I don't think she's trying to review the game like other reviewers do though and we shouldn't see her reviews with the same eye we see other reviews like the ones from IGN, Gamespot etc. You can moan all you want about feminist always dissing games but there's a time to look past your ego and realize they are right at some point. Someone asked why is it so important to people who they are playing as in a game. Well let me tell you one thing. It's all about immersion, why some games offer character creation? Because it allows the player to create a character they want and one they can relate to if they want. Games like Mass Effect or Fallout are great examples. To many it's important, as important as who is the lead actor in movies... Games will be more realistic, but it's like the mindset behind portraying societies hasn't advanced much. I may not like her but she got a point on that review. I hope we see more people noticing these design choices that will lead game developers grow a pair and diversify their characters behavior, representation and design. |

If people want reviews that dont focus the majority of the time on gender discussion then they should voice their opinion and if anita wants to discuss gender issues in Assassin's Creed Syndicate she should not simply call it a review.

Feminist are right on many things and wrong on many others, bunching all feminist together like you have is actually quite absurd as they are hardly a united group. Maybe you need to look past your ego and realize they can be wrong at some point.

Having character creators in games is great some of the time and others times having a well written character is best. I can honestly enjoy games dis-regardless of the gender of the protagonist. However if women want more female character leads more of them will have to get into game development to make it happen. Not every problem that women have stems from men.

Anita Sarkeesian does not want realism in games as evidenced by her complaint about the lack of black people in Victorian London which was actually quite realistic for the time. Also developers bowing down to haters like Anita are the ones that need to grow a pair. Developers are artist, and they should make the games they want to make, and not people like Anita who will find a way to hate on them no matter what.
