the arcades work the same....

And yes you can restart the game by rebuying the game again with a different steam account

Arcades are cent games that give you bang for your buck. Also, arcades were insanely popular during a time where many people didn't own their own video game console.

25 cents for every continue

What? What are you talking about? This game and arcades have little in common.First, arcade games are compressed, and experiences that are meant to be fully enjoyed in less than 1 or 2 hours, because you wont be able to keep playing continuosly because of the money constrain(every time you die/lose, you need to buy a continue). But this game is supposed to be an MMO, a game that requires dedication and that will keep you busy for hours and hours. And by the video, you can easily die.The model just dosent fit.

Other thing is that each try at arcades costs what?25 cents?50 cents? This games charges you for 10 dollars!!!!! to play a game with a gigantic chance of dieng and losing all your moneys value. Not only it is over priced, but a terrible failure for a business model for, to be honest, almost any kind of game today.

And last but not least, when you normaly die at a arcade game, you can buy a continue, to keep trying. It dosent delete your progression because you died once.

So yeah, this game has nothing to do with arcades. This is more like gambling, to be honest.Gambling to have luck that in the next corner there is not a player with a gun pointed to your head.

We can argue about the settings but it doesnt changes the fact that arcade games and this game have the same virtuos

Its not overpriced, because the quality is higher than most arcade game its an mmo/shooter type of game like you said. We have games like goat similulator which are completley pointless imo. So why cant exist such a game like this? why have you and other come here and nippicking it? You dont have to buy it.

If everyone would thumb down every trailer of a game which he/she wouldnt buy you would see similiar dislike bar for every game. Seems this is somehow so offending for people, more than games like hatred or goat simulator.

A game with One single life lol

So, is it a paid game where you buy it for £20 then once dead you are screwed or each character is £1 but it's free to download?

Hmm, pie.

This is really hardcore!

That is an extremelly bad idea, because that would make the game flawed in the most basic level.I could see it barely working as a free game, but as a paid game, and a 10 dollars game at that?
But, if you want my genuine opinion, is that this game is fake, and this is all some prank or something of the like.

There's a reason why arcade has died nearly everywhere.

This is probably the stupidest thing I've heard in a while. Spending money on a game you can't replay ever again if you die? This is just a cheap gimmick to get the game's name out there. Its obvious for a fact that people will multi-dip for this game if they die, and I don't think developers will give a crap about that. In a nutshell, it'll be a game that'll attract gullible people, most probably cheaters.

I really hope no one else on their right mind attempts to recreate this model.

You know I was waiting for some replies back when I made this thread to say I wouldn't mind something akin Arcade gaming and paying a quarter to keep playing with another character but you totally shut me down some days ago when you mentioned it yourself.

If they wouldn't make you reinstall the game, they'd ask you little money to buy another character, the initial install of the game not costing anything, making the game balanced so that you would die for either being careless or by accepting you faced a better player who got your ass... etc. I would try this game.

I like the idea of having a serious conscious of the mortality of my character.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

I bet you'll be able to buy the game again if you die and this is just an excuse ...

Ballsy idea. Imagine if Dark Souls had this!

Now this one is a realistic videogame
