Nintendo going 3rd party/ Mobile only/ dropping out of the gaming business. Only thing that could affect me like that is nintendo.

The death of Japanese games. Besides Mortal Kombat, I wouldn't have anything else to play if Twisted Metal, Marvel Nemesis, and Crash Team Racing, remain in a limbo.

Probably some other technological / digital f*uckery if they are meant to screw costumers over.

Even if the industry completely dried up, I would still have a pretty big collection of games spanning ~30 systems that I would continue playing. The only thing that would really stop me would be if I were physically incapacitated.

If mobile gaming becomes the primary form to play then i'll be done. Luckily, that isn't happening.

Basically when there is nothing left of value to play, or when streaming completely takes over (which I hope it doesn't in my lifetime).

When either of those happen then I will just switch to replaying what I do have.

I don't think I can quit at this point. I am fine replaying old classic games from the previous generations. Current and onward... It would largely affect me if Nintendo stepped out of the ring. The only thing that would keep me around are JRPGs and PC games.

When there's no way to own our games. This ain't TV, shit's not gonna workout as fine as Netflix did for movies and shows, no matter how much you try to say otherwise.

Family. And actually, I pretty much quit already. I bought an Xbox One and I have games but I hardly ever play and when I do I play dance games like Zumba with my fiancee. There's hardly time to play when you are having a blast with your significant other. 3 years and counting!

Space exploration.

If (when) it happen, i will just stop playing new games, and only play to old consoles/handheld.
