Forums - PC Discussion - XSEED announce Little King's Story; Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus and Xanadu Next ports for PC in the west

I'd summarize but the article does it for me:

XSEED Games announced on Thursday that it will release Xanadu NEXT, Little King's Story, andSenran Kagura Shinovi Versus on PC via Steam in 2016.

XSEED registered a domain name for XanaduNext.com in January, but has not previously released the game. Nihon Falcom released dungeon crawler role-playing game for Windows in Japan in 2005.

The Steam version of Little King's Story will be a port of the Wii version of the game, which XSEED released in 2009. The game has also been ported to PlayStation Vita. In the game, players raise a small kingdom into an empire.

XSEED released Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus for PlayStation Vita last year. The game is a sequel to its earlier game for Nintendo 3DS, Senran Kagura Burst.

I was hoping game announcements or firm release dates of upcoming titles. PC ports mean nothing to me, oh well.

I wish they would stop localizing and porting Senran Kagura games. Pick up anything else. Literally anything. Just grab a random Japanese game and you'll be sure to find a higher quality and more worthwhile title than any Senran Kagura game.

That aside, neat. Good to see more PC love since I've been steadily becoming a more mixed gamer between console and PC.

lovely Little King's Story!! the game is pure love

hope it can reach more people through the PC

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

What was your least favourite part of whichever Senran Kagura game caused you to form this opinion?  Was it one of the 3DS games, because I'm led to believe they're fairly different from the Vita/PS4 games.

Or is this just based on not liking fanservice, therefore no-one should have these games?

Wow, that's incredibly disappointing. This is probably the first time in a long time that I've been disappointed in XSEED.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

I don't know the other games but I'm happy about Little King's story, loved it on vita.

More like the gameplay is generally mediocre for the sake of the fan service. It's a series that puts fan service first and gameplay in a distant second place, and that just makes for an awful game unless you really want to see anime boobs. None of the Senran Kagura games that have come west so far have been good, and all of them have suffered due to feeling tedious after an hour of dealing with, more often than not, slipshod mechanics.

They're lazy games that deserve to sit in a bargain bin and nothing more. Considering all the quality that we miss, it's almost offensive that this junk keeps getting brought over.

Is this all that was announced at XSEED's press event? I figured it'd be something a little more high-profile since there was reportedly an embargo of even talking about the event (at least, that's what I've read elsewhere).

It's cool for the people that are interested, but I'll save my excitement for something like a Tokyo Xanadu localisation announcement.

Nice. I'm glad to see each and every game announced for PC. I'm certainly not going to complain if I happen to not like some of them, as any individual success contributes to the whole. I don't have to like everything.
