What is your expectation for Halo 5?

US first day= ?

Since VGChartz is dead these are the only data we may get from Microsoft or Chart-Track if we're lucky!

My expectation is 1.5 million first day Worldwide and 2.3 million for the first week. 1.8 million of those will be on the US and 300k will be on the UK.

Why is it going to be significantly lower than Halo 3 and other previous main Halo games?

- Xbox brand in general is weaker this gen. Although Xbox One is outselling Xbox 360 for the same period I think (no actual data) that Xbox is a lot weaker than it used to be during Xbox 360 days.

- Halo 3 was the peak for Halo games. Halo didn't have any real competitor when Halo 3 was released. No COD phenomena yet. No big new FPS every week! The increase in Xbox 360 install base helped hiding the drop on Halo popularity. Don't get me wrong. Halo is still big and one of the biggest franchises out there. Halo Reach and Halo 4 should be more than 10 million by now. Nobody can say Halo isn't big but relatively to other games it is not as big anymore.

- Video games in general were a lot stronger last generation. I don't think we'll see big first day/weeks as much as we saw during the last gen.

Please share your expectation and the reason behind it. Thank you.

give it a year,.. halo 5 will be on win 10 and 35 million will be more a very conservative estimate.  halo is god's gift to gamers.

Only one 360 Halo reached 10 million that we can track. I think if anything it is going to be lower. We do not even know if MS will be able to move 35 million Xbox Ones yet (I think they will probably end around 40)

Idk hard to say. Including digital 3, reach and 4 are 10 million sellers. Halo 5 will be too but first week, idk maybe 2.7 million fw including digital.

I just do not see it reaching 10 million in sales we can track. With digital included it probably will be very close. At 9.75 million physical Reach defintely hit 10 million. If I was going to estimate I would put it at 11.5ish million

Just as a personal guess from what I know I think roughly 15% of sales are digital
