Forums - Sony Discussion - Bloodborne Game Of The Year Edition Launches on 25th November

Is there any word on the collectors edition that includes the dlc for the West?

Don't really see the problem with a goty edition being released, Bloodborne will almost certainly get at least a few goty awards. And besides, like other users have pointed out, they're just rebranding.

OT: I can't wait for the DLC! Also, the cover has a nice design.

I think Game of the Year editions are a tad pretentious. This one is the worst offender as it is releasing the same calendar year as the original AND before the year in question is even over.

How presumptive to declare your game GOTY before any game of the year articles have been written.

Cool cover though.

I agree, From Software seem to have forgotten Evergrace. Success got to their heads.

For me bloodborne is the GotY so far (I haven't played MGSV yet) but then again TW3 was a great game and it is multiplatform and there are still a lot of games to be released (Halo, SW:Battlefront etc).

How can you release a GotY Edition when you haven't won any awards. Call it the Extended Edition or the Complete Edition... Calling it the GotY already is complete bs

I dislike when companies claim GOTY before the year is over. BB can't possibly have won any Goty's yet, therefore, its false advertising and probably illegal.
Wether they get away with it or not is a different issue, sadly.

But, as far as i know... the only one that tried to claim Goty ahead of time and then reversed the decision was Injustice. I really don't think we should just accept this practice when its not accurate. False advertising is a crime afterall. Anyone can sue the company and probably win.

And its funny cause Sony has been caught on that before(with the vita). They still seem to be willing to take risks it seems.

With that said, perhaps by the 25th of November they will already have a Goty (or made sure to get one lol). Otherwise they can be sued for it.

Given that there's no such thing as a definitive Game of the Year for everyone, every Goty edition could be sued for false advertising. After all, they aren't the Game of the Year. There's a reason we get several Goty editions.

Heck, in court Sony could (if they wanted to) just claim that it is a game, and it released this year, thus it is a game of the year.

Does some one know if the DLC is on the disc?

So no more DLC after it? Goty's usually are the definitive version.

Nice cover.

I'd assume not since Dark Souls III will be out in a few months. Sony got what it needed to out of Bloodborne, any future DLC would just get in DSIII's way, which is something Sony probably doesn't wanna do out of respect (and because Bloodborne 2 is certainly a thing the two are gonna do).

Then again, TLoU's "GotY" edition had DLC coming out afterwards, so you never really know these days.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

Sony might as well go ahead and announce Uncharted 4 Game of the Year edition including the singleplayer DLC for release next November while they are at it.

We all know UC 4 will most likely win at least one GOTY award so it is better to announce it sooner rather than later.
