What's the problem here exactly? Do you realize Activision made people pay for 3 full priced games for one sequel (Starcraft 2). Didn't buy it, not interested, even though I quite like RTS games and certainly wouldn't pay that much for the pleasure of playing SC2

How much does it cost to play WoW for a year? 15x12 = 180$ <- and that's without any added content. Which is why I don't play/subscribe to MMOs

How much money can you blow on free to play games like Hearthstone? My boys haven't spent a cent on Hearthstone (I don't play it). They did buy the Ultimate God pack for Smite, which is cheap for buying all current gods and all future gods, and no other paid content provides any actual in game advantage, and if you want you can grind your way to buying all gods using in game favour at no monetary cost.

How much did people pay to play the 10 hour campaign for the Order? Err ahem you got me there, although I did only pay 3/4 of the new release price and I bought it just a few weeks after release. I think the game probably is only worth 1/2 the new release price so I did over pay.

I already preordered the basic edition and if the maps look promising then I will buy the pass. It's not hard. If you like the game, if you have fun with the game, then you pony up the money.

How about the mere fact of charging more for less should be seen as a bad thing, and if people just roll over and take it the industry will just keep piling on more and more abuisive practices. At some point even people like you must conclude that way publishers are trying to squeeze money out of you is beyond reasonable. Heck if gamers can get all up in arms about actors wanting royalties why can't they be bothered getting up in arms about shitty pricing models? Are we that addicted to gaming that we will take anything as long as we get to play? That's a pretty scary future we face if so.

No way in hell i'm buying this, especially when there are better games coming out around the same time.

Can't believe I actually thought about pre-ordering this...

This - this is horseshit. I think I'll just go play the original Battlefront instead.

I´ll just wait for the EA Access release :).

God I hope this game bombs terribly hard. Sad to see this happen to Star Wars of all things. Anything else I liked that EA can destroy?

If there's one thing clear about this is that the game won't crash. It will ride the 7th Star Wars movie hype, even if the game is as broken as BF4, it will sell a couple million units first week. I just hope Disney looks at all the possible backlash and decides to take action.

You know it deserves the GOTY.
