Forums - Movies & TV - Yet another Hugh Jackson movie crash and burns - Pan cost 150 million just to develop, makes 15 million this weekend!

Huge jack, men. Huge jack, son.

That's what they get for making a poop movie. This year, those who deserve it, get it. *looks at Fantfourstic*

Fantastic Four made $10 million more than Pan over the opening weekend while costing less.  Yet Pan is still not the biggest boxoffice bomb of the year.

All media entertainment seems to be relying more and more on that 1 big hit to offset all the big budget bombs whether it's hollywood films, games, anime or comics.

Its the biggest domestic bomb of the year WB also owns the second biggest domestic bomb this year in Jupiter Ascending.

Nope, Blackhat $70 million budget less than $4 million opening weekend less than $18 million lifetime worldwide. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=daily&id=mann2015.htm

I'm curious to see it now, I HATED the recent x-men stuff and I like the guy... plus people are stupid, just the bad reception makes it a possibly great movie.

I saw the movie yesterday, it sucks. I am a fan of Wolverine cough Hugh Jackman cough, and his performance is really good, but the movie just sucks sadly.

Thank GOD... maybe now the whole "let's remake each and every Disney classic we can get our hands on" will end.

I've liked all the remakes and will go see Pan soon followed by Jungle Book.

Quite funny that there is a Robert Downey Jr in this thread when he's rumored to get 200 million dollar for the next Avengers infinity war 2 parter movie.. 200 million!!!

Well I guess I forgot about that one but no one was expecting anything from that one also it had little to no advertising so Universal pretty much knew beforehand that it was going to be a dud.

yeah, Hugh Jackson is the absolute worst. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0413597/?ref_=fn_al_nm_2
Fancy trying to make a comeback after almost 100 years. Pathetic!

From what I read abou tit, Jupiter Ascending did well WW. Domestic sales aren't everything.

Well it did better overseas but still didn't make enough money to make a profit.

Total budget = $178 million

Total WW Gross = $183,887, 723

No profit? That's from your own source.

Too make a profit a movie got to make over twice its bugdet since the studios only get back about 50% of the box office gross and is some contries like China its a lot less then 50%.
