As protendo said, that number means nothing. These days number of units mean nothing because of PC sales.
And I think that 10 million was for people played, not units sold.

It still sold above 4.5 million copies according to this site's data and even more if we count digital sales for PC ...

Again I can't see why the IP couldn't live on Microsoft's platform alone as Protendo pointed out that my argument would still hold true ...

So about 2.64 million on XBo, now the PS4 usually sells 2-3 times more multiplatform games so Titanfall has a potential of selling 5-6 million on PS4. Now do you even have any idea how much money that would cost to pay EA for? And that's just one game. This game is like Call of Duty, it's never going to be exclusive again because it would cost to much money.
EA has the potential to make more money from the game going multiplat then selling it.

EA doesn't own the game. Respawn does. Microsoft has more than enough money to buy respawn.

Lol that doesn't mean anything  if EA has a contract with Respawn. You think when the head of Respawn didn't even have a clue to when EA went over his head and took money from MS for not releasing Titanfall on PS4 that they have much power? You think that EA signed them up for just 1 game? No.

You don't know either. EA and Microsoft is known to make deals like EA Access. Microsoft can offer the money and thats that. Microsoft is rich remember and Sony not so much. Also, it is known for a fact Titan Fall wouldn't exsist without Microsoft.

You fool, do you want the universe to implode?

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

The only reason EA Access happened was because Sony didn't want it on their platform, so it's not much of a deal. Have you seen any other deals between EA and MS since then? They haven't released a timed exclusive on Xbox since everyone basically figured the PS4 was winning.  You think Microsoft gives the Xbox divsion unlimited money? Oh and  a company like Sony which is worth 7 billion has no money. Lol................................................................

Oh and Titanfall couldn't have existed without MS? Oh my, a huge company like EA couldn't afford to pay the bills for a game running on the source engine and a multiplayer game only at that. For a game that couldn't have existed without MS and was still going to release on PS4, yeah it definitely couldn't have happened without MS. Lol...................

Because PS4 would bring the devs more profit and it would eleminate the PC fanbase so why would Respawn want to be in that situation? If they wanted to be purchased than EA would have already bought them and Respawn gain nothing from being exclusive to any platform.

This isn't about what Respawn gains from been exclusive to a platform, this is about what Microsoft gains from owning an IP ...

Just because the PS4 has a larger userbase does not mean game sales will scale linearly ...

Who cares about what EA has to pay for exclusivity, it's Respawn Entertainments decision ...
