So far Microsoft bought Minecraft and the Gears of War ip this generation. Honestly, I think their next purchase will be Respawn entertainment and aquire the Titanfall ip. Titanfall sold very well for a new ip and helped the xbox one. Its obvious Microsoft don't mind purchasing gaming ips if they prove to be successful.

I think MS would be better off having studios create new IPs instead of trying to buy them.

Look at it this way, 2 games are GOING to be from EA. EA is NOT going to let anybody take it and Respawn has no benefit from the arrangement. Not going to happen.

warhammer is a strong IP with much lore, and they could nfc the shit out of it without making the models more expensive.

Minecraft was a phenomenon, easy buy.
Gears of War had 3 successful games, easy buy.
Titanfall only 1 successful game, not so easy buy.

That is true. They might want to test it out with 3 games like the gears of war series and see if it still holds up.

Only thing I would like to see Microsoft get is Remedy. Other than that they need to make their own IPs.
