Forums - Sony Discussion - Is Tearaway Unfolded worth it if I enjoy platformers but didn´t really enjoy LittleBigPlanet?

The reason I mention LBP is because if I´m not mistaken, the same devs made Tearaway, and though I love platformers, I could never really get into LBP, never cared about the level building, social aspect of that game, and the 'story levels' didn´t do much for me either.

Is Tearaway a different experience?...if all I´m interested in is a tight, single player focused 3d platformer, does it deliver?

Thanks for your opinions.

tearaway is probably more adventure than platformer to be honest. i dunno, i guess there are places where you need to land a jump but to me it's about as much a platfomer as 3D zelda is.

Tearaway is nothing like LBP. LBP is more of a create game than a platformer, while Tearaway is an adventure-platformer, so judging by what you said, I'll say sure, go for it.

I love both, but I'd say Tearaway is the better game, specifically due to way character controls.

Games are very different and TA is more adventure as.

Tearaway is really different from LittleBigPlanet.
I personally think Tearaway is better than LittleBigPlanet.

Played on Vita and it was extremely boring.

tearaway unfolded is great. Try out the demo to see if you like it

Definitely worth playing tearaway. I'm not a huge fan of lbp but love tearaway

Tearaway unfolded is definitely better than the LBP campaigns (although I love the first one, so much fun to play co-op) yet I would sooner compare it to Puppeteer in the way it's structured. A lot of hand holding and exposition. It has a bit too much blah blah for me and taking away camera controls. Yet when it allows you to play it's actually quite fun. I was just getting into it when Mario maker came out, haven't gotten back to it yet...

It's definitely single player, it has 3D platforming, uses the touch pad really well and looks awesome. Controls could be a bit tighter, better than LBP anyway.
