No. 21 32.31%

Maybe 24 36.92%

I dont care. 3 4.62%

Am I the only one who thinks Sony didnt have a "Megaton" E3? I didnt find anything surprising besides Shenmue 3...

It will just be another showing.

Yes, you're among the only people on the planet who thought that, not the only one, mind you, but you're among rare, rare company.

Sony have always used Gamescom to push new titles/new IP's more than e3. Depending on people's definition of AAA, Gamescom 2013 and 2014 far exceeded their respective years E3's.

Umm no, Sony has always used Gamescom to announce smaller-mid ranged, stranger titles. Shu even admited that in the recent Greg Milller PS podcast.

I didn't say they didn't.  Just that Gamescom has been for new titles and new ip's primarily, and most of the time exceeds e3.

e.g. E3 2013. Sony announced one new retail game coming to PS4 (the order 1886, and by announced i mean, it was not previously announced)
The same years gamescom had almost 10 new titles, including everybody gone rapture, rime, shadow of the beast etc.

Cool story. Figure of speach, have you ever heard of that term? Keep on topic.

Well when you can make media personalities jump on tables, hide behind chairs and cry out of sheer joy, I think you're doing something right!

But maybe they are just missing all of your beats.... they have to applease so many people it is hard to make everyone happy.

What sorts of games lineups would make you go "wow"?

I really hope this isn't just a dig at Sony for not being MS....

E3 brought back TLG. There is nothing that can be announced that'd make it a better show "first-party wise". Not even GT, GOW, Infamous, KZ and others combined. That ship has sailed. TGS was better third party wise, so that could happen with PGW too. If that guy's info I reliable then i' m keeping expectations low cause third parties were the only point of interest for PGW, if it's first party focused then meh. They should leave that for PSX instead.

Don't ask stupid questions, if you don't want answers.  And discussing whether E3 was a megaton, in a thread that literally has the words E3 and Megaton in it, is on topic.  Don't play dumb.

I agree, the word 'megaton' gets thrown out when anything happens now, its pretty much meaningless.  "Sony re-announced a game they showed 7 years ago....OMG MEGATON!"

Thinking back the only thing that I would maybe consider a megaton is the FF7 remake.  But again thats a remake....and there was no gameplay....and its SE so who knows when it will see the light of day.

With all that said I think there will be at least one new interesting game, and Im excited to see what Sony shows.

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

Well they re-announced a game in development hell. I'll call it the Duke Nukem Forever of this generation.... And a remake of a legendary game... Not sure if it will live up to the reputation of the original, but it will still probably be worth playing.... And I guess Shenmue 3 was out of left field, but that was a kickstarter and I don't really count that either. None of those things were nearly as interesting as Horizon Zero Dawn, which is my most anticipated game for the PS4 at the moment.

Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC

Probably not, but I am expecting a good show.
