Honestly, I never really got the hype for this game. It was the least creative or fun out of the three games that "Indie Game" documentary covered. Though really, all three of those games were terribly overrated, and there were far better indie games before and have been far better since.
But as for SMB....it's cool that they wanted to make an old school platformer. However, it always struck me as something made in Flash, like a web browser game. Just not that enticing. There are others games that do exactly what it does (retarded hard platforming), but better.
It's a bit late to be trotting this out on a Nintendo console now. Why not just focus on future efforts?
I think Wii U owners should protest this game to show devs that they're sick of being a side chick.

I dont understand why the Usual Suspects got so defensive about my comment when i just said that cool that the Wii U is receiving the game, and also that it is included on this month Ps+
Are you mad that Nintendo doesnt have a Ps+/GwG like service?

It really looks like a bait, even if it's unnintentional XD I mean, we've recently had a thread complaining about PS+, another complaining about MeatBoy's OST, and now this. It screams unnintentional debate bait.

They won't, but not out of altruism. If they're really going after the more casual 'Puzzles & Dragons' market then it would be a blunder to add an online fee. Core gamers who pay for their own hobbies would pay it, which is why it works on Xbox and Playstation, but every other demographic would balk. They'd do it if they could but it would likely be a bad move for them.

I don't think it's out of altuism either, but I definitely don't think it's because they're going for a casual market, because they aren't. They won't because they think there is a more intelligent way to go about creating stronger consumer relations that is completely free, and they've detailed, on many occasions, how. They wouldn't do it if they could because they think their way is better and more lucrative, and that way is free of a subscription fee.
