Always Zelda. Although 3D Mario, which I would distinguish from 2D Mario, comes close in 2nd.

Pokémon... Thanks to Pokémon I became a Nintendo fan, that's the reality. I returned to love Pokémon in 2012 and then I bought a Nintendo 3DS XL in August 2013 xD

Then I discovered all the beauty of different franchises like Kirby, Super Mario (before playing 3D Land I played when I was a child Super Mario Bros. 3 or Super Mario World) and The Legend of Zelda.

And now Animal Crossing, the storyline of Happy Home Designer is pretty cool.

Had to give my vote to Mario. The 3D Mario games still take up a lot of my time today, and the first two Paper Mario entries are some of my favorite RPGs as well.

Metroid. FE's quickly becoming a close second though.

I honestly can't choose one.... everytime a new game from any of these comes out, I'm on it, and I love it.... but, for the sake of the pole, I will go like this.... zelda 1a, Mario 1b, metroid 1c, fire emblem 2, starfox, xenoblade..... etc...

4. Mario. First console game I ever played, never loved any of the games until I first played Galaxy, which is still one of the absolute masterpieces of all time.

3. Fire Emblem. This really only pips Mario at the post because I love Fates (favourite game ever) raises it this high by itself. I liked Sacred Stones and Path of Radiance, but they were merely good in my eyes, not masterpieces like the 3DS entries have been.

2. Pikmin. I tried the first one like ten years ago and didn't really enjoy it very much, bought Pikmin 2 NPC and absolutely loved it.

1. Pokemon. First game I ever played, and only series in which I've bought and played every single game through to completion. Also, it has the only video game merchandise (outside of Amiibo) that I own. I still love it to this day.
Inside the Pokemon IP: Gen 3 (including Colo/XD)=Mystery Dungeon > Gen 5 > Gen 1 > Gen 2 > Gen 4

Metroid for me. Everything else is oversaturated or not interesting to me.
