Naughty dog last year confirmed that besides The Last of us remaster they are working on two brand new experiences.. One of them being UC4 and other who knows... (most probably it is TLoU). And they never had clear cut two teams.. only a small group of people split up to lay down the concept and rest of the team would join when the work on current game is finished. it happened during Uc2 and happened during The Last of Us and its stupid to imagine if that is not happening now.

Quote from the Article "Naughty Dog has three projects in the works at the moment: The Last of Us, Uncharted 4, and “the next big game” which is in a “super-early” stage of development. Except for Uncharted 4, no game has a fixed team, and resources are shifted around as needed. The studio had a go at having two completely separate teams, but they’re so particular and selective on how they hire people, that the complete split was never fulfilled, so it’s more like they have “one and a half team” where people will shift around form project to project."

and dude Sony had 3 system to cater to and in this 2 years they managed to get. Killzone, Knack, Driveclub, Infamous, bloodborne, the order, the last of us Remastered, god of war 3 remaster, puppettier, Tearaway Vita, Tearaway unfolded, Gran turismo 6, Everybody's Gone to Rapture, Untill Dawn, Freedom wars, Soul sacrifice, 2 MLB games for 3 systems, Entiwined. These are just the efforts from their Internal studios since the launch of PS4, Havent included out sourced games like LBP3, Untill Dawn etc.

And i dont remember PS3 was even close to having this many games in its 2 years. So cut them some slack if they dont cater to your gaming needs.

Sigh... keep up with the times. That articles is from august of 2014. Things happened ever since.

Mind blowing logic!! So let me get this you believe that the other project which they mentioned a year ago is cancelled because Naughty dogs havent confirmed the sequel.. and no where in the article they have confirmed that they are not working on the sequel, it just says neil and bruce were assigned to UC4 when they were brain storming for the sequel, So they dont know what they are doing next not ND as UC continued without Neil and Bruce (UC2) and without Amy (UC4). Also No developer in their right mind would announce their next game when they have a game releasing in six months.

It is kind of stupid to think, and I believe u are the only person on this planet who thinks that a game which sold over 8 million units, Biggest success of a studio like ND wont have a sequel and they would greenlit a project even when they thought this could not be a series.  And also about that article Neil was addressing to Nolans slip up but later on even Josh Scher had let slip and refered to The Last of Us as the first Last of us.

Personally I dont want them to work on the last of us and maybe work on savage starlight, but building a new ip will atleast take 4 to 5 years and i dont think naughty dog will loose their 2 years development cycle for another new IP. After UC4 I do believe as usual small team will start work on a new IP as the majority will shift focus on TLoU2, which is in development in some form as most of their resources are right now on finishing Uncharted 4.

So whether or u not like it, the last of us 2 is going to happen in 2018.

I'm really pathetic and have no friends. Please excuse the trolling message that used to be here, I don't know any better.

"The answer is - and this is totally honest, and I've said this in the past - that when Bruce (Straley) and I moved over to Uncharted 4, we were brainstorming ideas for The Last Of Us 2 with new characters; ideas for TLOU 2 with Joel and Ellie; ideas for a sci-fi game; ideas for a fantasy game, and building prototypes for each one of those ideas. And just as we were getting close to settling or narrowing that list down, we were asked to work on Uncharted 4." Gosh it's like being stuck between a really good rock and an excellent hard place, isn't it? "

No, lets go with your idea that all 3 titles are in development like full titles without Bruce and Neil. Because that makes full sense, especially when he just said they stoped narrowing the list down! He just confirmed to you that none of the titles are in development, they were still prototypes when they had to change to Uncharted 4! Let alone the fact that he just told you honestly that they havent decided what they are working on next.

I did not say they wont make TLOU2, but they are definitly NOT making TLOU2, YET. And it doesnt mean it will necessarely be their next game (though its quite possible). So, i dont care how many people in the earth agree with me, because i'm right (assuming the guy isnt lieing).

I would also prefer Savage starlight, if its worth anything.

Well, you aren't the customers. The vast majority is pleased, or will be pleased with what Sony has to offer. You are the exception. Pathetic is trying to give a little thread in some webforum a representative character (or claiming PS VR is no real VR because one can't taste and smell this virtual reality) of the overall opinion, even if, most posts in this thread don't even agree with you. The other half is the usual barking, no arguments, no big picture view. However, the sales are and will be representative. If you're not satisified, then i guess it's time for you to move on. Because people like you are never satisfied.

I'm sorry to inform that you dont talk for the customers or for Sony. This thread is proof that there is more than one customer, so yeah... i don't know wich dimension you think you ascended to to be saying these things. I will say this again: You dont talk for Sony. You may keep atempting, but it will do you no good. Actually, theres a post in the OP saying that that isnt what Sony thinks. They want to have better line-ups but they feel safe with the 3rd party support.

So, i dont know... if you're not happy with that then maybe you should move on?

Oh you and your irrational jibberjabber. ^^

So you decide what VR is and what isn't - dismissing the aknowledged defintion. You decide what games are important, declaring games to your gusto "niche" and unimportant, and you're the one decides if Sony is doing enough, despite them having an array of exclusives incoming, with every major SWW studio involved in a PS4 project + support of 3rd party titles also of solid quantity and variety that no other can offer, not even close.

No, there is no post in the OP saying what you're suggesting. It only says they have work to do. Work that they're doing right now and will bear fruit next  year. You haven't realized, this comment is actually refering to this year sparce first party output. Well yeah, obviously. If i'm not mistaken there is only one first party game - not counting support role (Until Dawn eg) - and it's only an f2p game (Killstrain).

It becomes apparent when comparing 2015 (see above) to the supposedly first party line up of 2016.

Uncharted 4

Dreams

Gravity Rush 2

Gran Turismo 7

Rigs

Horizon Zero Dawn

The Last Guardian

The 1st party list for itself outmatches what we had exclusivly for PS4 - at least so far.

Hunting Season is done...

Its not very nice to be spreading lies.

I see you are a vendetta man. VR is not the topic of this thread and i never did what you say.

And i have decided nothing. They admitted to it. But you just have to look at sales to see wich games are more relevant. But yes, according to you "we have work to" means "we have done great".

I would like whatever it is you are drinking to say GT7 will come out next year. Not that i wouldnt like that, but i just don't see how.

Yeah, I wouldn't buy a console for 3rd party. I'd buy a gaming PC. Honestly, at this point XB1 has overtaken my choice for which of the two to buy. It just has more promising exclusives, imo.

Really ? Sony released exclusives (new IP's) during non-holiday period so far and MS just releasing the exclusives games that are milked in Holiday. Also sony has strong line up next year and have announced several games already than MS and more are coming in PGW and PSX.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

To be fair, it took GT6 7 months from announcement to launch, so anything could be possible I guess.

Of course it could be possible. We just don't know yet. We can't with any certainty say it will release in 2016.

For the same theory any sequal we haven't heard about can release next year. We just dont know. Therefore how can he say it will release next year with certainty? Its a gamble.

Truly good when the head of a division recognizes his shortcomings. I wish Yoshida-Sensei all the best in terms of delivering on that note.

Bloodborne and.... ?

And lets not forget that it´s not a Sony IP, it´s almost the same thing as Sunset Overdrive from last year.
