I'm afraid I might be. I feel isolated if I don't get on the internet at least once a day.

Well, i'm constantly on it. Mostly for communication, a fair bit of it is youtube and netflix. If my connection would ever go out, I wouldn't suffer. So I guess not.
Nope. I'm 36 years old. The internet didn't really become mainstream until I was in my early 20's which means I spent more than half my life without it. I don't need it at all and use to less than I do any other hobby.
If it were up to me, there internet wouldn't even exist. It's has some great things, but it's also killed or killing so many other great things like physical movies, games, music... it's killing television... hell, it's even killing real life interaction. Not to mention, without the internet, we wouldn't have millions of idiots walking around looking at their phones 24/7.
Imo, it's caused more harm than good. Selfies anyone?!?!
The internet is a necessity, its supplanted phones for most communication needs, tvs for entertainment, libraries for education, etc etc etc. Internet addiction is a myth. its how one uses it that determines any kind of "addiction".
Don't listen to Turkey. The internet didn't kill anything, it just made all of those things more efficient.
In this day and age, with the Internet, ignorance is a choice! And they're still choosing Ignorance! - Dr. Filthy Frank
