Yea, but something OP dint account for, people seem to remember what halo was when it first released on 360 and how much hardware it pushed, but halo is not on the same level as it was back then. It hs long been dethrone as shooter king and after last years 343 mess with the collection, wich I hear is still buggy, I dont think it will have anyware near the effect halo 3 had on the 360. It will do great of course, but sony might edge them out.

This is true. I think the MCC factor affects things even if you take out the 'issues' factor with the bugs :

When Halo 3 launched, it was the first reason for a Halo fan to buy a 360.

But with XB1, the hardcore halo fans were already invited in with the promise of 4 remastered games in 1, along with a complete redo of fan favorite Halo 2.

So it very well may be that a large portion of the Halo crowd has already got an XB1.

I don't think Halo is the mass-market barn burner that it used to be. As noted, COD ate it alive in the top FPS rankings years and years ago, and even in decline COD numbers dwarf Halo (and every other FPS by anybody to be honest).

So as off right now, best buy and target have a limited $350 deal on ps4's. This sounds like an official pricecut is soon to come, although this might be it already. And it dint start as late as paris game show. So the ps4 selling at a discounted price, for less moeny than some x1 bundles, all month while the x1 only has halo for 5 days of the month and some really bad bundles.

Im really confident the ps4 has this month in the bag.

Halo is going to sell upwards of 1.5 million its first week, are you sure about that?  MS was probably planning unofficial pricedrops for next month.

Halo may have lost some of its appeal, but it will still give XB1 the win in Oct.

Just wait for Black Friday.. XBO set a world record for most console sales in one day in the US last year.

Did you forget the deals it had? So far we have nothing comparable to thouse deals. That could all change by black friday, but for october, it looks like the ps4 has the best deals, the best bundles, the best specs and all the momentum.
