Forums - Politics Discussion - I am voting for Donald Trump, who is with me?

Politicians are paid actors and actresses, employed by big business to do their bidding. Voting for any of them is, imo, a total waste of time. In the end, it doesn't matter who "wins". You're still stuck with a corporate puppet who cares not one SHIT about our country.

Voting is an illusion. They're selling you the illusion that you actually have a say... you don't.

yep pretty much hoepfully the revolution happens during my life time but either way it's coming

US political system is screwed

Oligarchy - a government in which control is exercised by a small group of individuals whose authority generally is based on wealth or power.

you guys are delusional. obama and even the supreme court passed so much that would never have happened in a bush administration. (vice-versa for the point of it) a revolution has historically implied violence which won't help anything. people in the US aren't that poor. even poor people here have TVs and food. we don't need a revolution. in that case you should just go to a meeting or something for whatever candidate it is you support. a lot of the candidates want drastic change in different directions and i am sure some change will happen with the next president. america was founded on a revolution. if you don't like the constitution you should go to another country sorry.

Nice try, but in an Oligarchy the fundamental difference is that common people don't vote. We vote on every candidate. Appointed officials are sworn in and that is a debatable thing that could be changed. However, there's nothing Oligarchical about voting for the President of the US.

Well besides Citizen United your are kind of correct.  Corporations count as one person so they can donate to whoever they want and however much they want.  Clinton and Jeb Bush are puppets to these corporations and will never try to mess with them or they will cease funding.  It is completely ridiculous.  And the presidential position is not even where this is worse.

So many in the Senate get their funding from these corporations  and top .01$ of the wealthy people like the big banks, koch brothers, at&t, Comcast

Like seriously, to all the people not voting Bernie just watch his income wealth inequality video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VePpQBCbKBw

That is one of the things that convinced me that he is the only viable candidate running.   Everyone else is too afraid to admit that the wealthy is what is killing us, not the poor and their petty abuse of welfare policies that cost nothing in comparison to what these guys do.

Not sure who I will vote for, but definately not Trump. Leaning Dr. Ben Carson. I'd vote Kanye over Trump. We all know Hillary Clinton is gonna win. #illuminati jk ;)

Oh yeah, Carson.  The guy who has said climate change is not real, a religious person other than Christian as president is wrong, gay is a choice, the earth is not even 10,000 years old.  Only morons would vote for Carson, no offense.  Trump would be 1000x better than Carson and Trump is a joke.

Exactly at least Trump only pretents that the Bible is is favorite book.  Based on Carsons believes the Bible is actually his favorite book.

Nope, if I'm going to vote it will be for someone I actually support. Otherwise I'd be wasting my time, and I don't do things like that because I'm intelligent.

Trump's policy to send the Syrian refugees is a great call. Trump will be a strong leader and he will strengthen America's borders.

I am in. It's Trump or Carson for me. He's the kind of asshole we've always said to each other we need in the white house.

Plus he's the only candidate who understands how to actually make money. The vast majority in the race have done nothing but spent their entire life in the public sector which is a popularity contest rather than results driven. When I heard him speak about trade long before he even was on anyone's radar for becoming president I knew he'd be the person we need. Plus not taking any money from anyone give me hope this guy could put a huge steak in the heart of the typical puppet masters who control Washington.

Also I can't stand Clinton. She's faker than plastic dog shit. Someone who won't ever speak from the hip and always has to control every interaction with the media raises enough alarm bells for me. You see Trump giving 30 minute interviews with multiple reporters all the freaking time. When has anyone running for office has the sack to do 10 minutes without handlers? And Clinton, unlike her husband, can't take any questions for months after she said she was running? Come on man.

I'm familar with most of his policies and I don't agree with all of 'em but overall, he's the best choice out of the options for the country. Minimum wage was never meant to be the equilevent of "making a living" off from it. It's really a short term arrangement til you can get the job you want or a better job or until you're done with school.  Raising minimum wage is only a short term band aid because prices will inflate right along with it.

Schooling is the most logical long term solution for anyone who wants a higher quality of life and to able to put a silver spoon in their kid's mouth.

Actually, minimum wage was created by the eugenics movement to keep "undesirables" (black people and other minorities) out of the workforce.

http://fee.org/freeman/the-eugenics-plot-of-the-minimum-wage/

The fact that intentions may have changed doesn't change the outcome.

I'm not debating about why it was created but about what it does now. How does minimum wage realistically keep minorities out of the workforce? What keeps anyone from a higher quality of life is lack of general and higher education. That's the simple truth. Minorities actual have more opportunities than the majority at scholarships and getting school loans.
