Tearaway: Unfolded came out recently on PS4. For those who don't know, it's an extended remake of a Vita game released in 2013. The game sold 600k on PSV so far according to VGChartz, but is probably a bit undertracked. This version is moving extremely slow, soon it will completely stop. So let's say it'll end up about 800k.

With that in mind, do you think Unfolded (PS4) can outsell the original game?

Personally, I think it can, but I think it won't be by much, unfortunately (since the game deserves far more success).

It will outsell it by sheer userbase alone. The question is how long will it take.

Hopefully you're right! But I'm actually worried since the game hasn't caused any spikes in the media or even in hardcore foruns like this. I saw like, 2 or 3 threads about the game on its launch week. 

Hopefully it can become an evergreen title with decent legs, like LBP games, and eventually reach great figures (2m+).

Hopefully, it deserves more sales. I think it can possibly hit 1m on PS4. I know I'll be picking it up when I get a PS4.

I think so, it really does deserve it. I haven't bought it yet (need something for people to get me for christmas) but I have the demo and I've played it like four times.

Tearaway Unfolded will easily top the Vita version in sales, PS4's install base alone will guarantee that IMO.
I wouldn't be shocked if it manages a fair few million units, it's reviewed really well and people want solid experiences, which this definitely appears to be.

I suspect Sony or retail stores will be doing a family bundle, which will drive the numbers up this holiday.
I am shocked that it's not charting better though, I think it entered the UK charts at 33.
Shame VG Chartz seems to be lacking in their updates so far, does anyone know if there's any indication when an update on numbers over here will happen?

From the charts that we've gotten so far, it doesn't seem to have gotten off to a great start, since it charted very low in the UK and didn't chart at all in Japan.

That being said, I think the majority of its sales will come from other European countries and NA, so this doesn't mean it's doomed. Especially if they bundle it with the PS4 this holiday like they did LBP3 last year.

Overall, it has a chance, but I'm not sure if it's a high one. It seems like something that would be a no-brainer, but it's a bit more complicated.

I'm going to say no. It was a stand out title on Vita while on PS4 it will get lost in the shuffle.

Also I wouldn't say Tearaway is undertracked considering it's overtracked in NA by around 30-40k

How much different than the Vita version is it? Worth a double dip?

After looking into it, I don't think it'll hit 1m unless it's bundled. Seems like 500-700k Is more likely. Still not bad.

So I'd say definitely if bundled, if not it will probably be close but I'll still say it will by a slim amount.
