"This transition has been in the works for a few months, with both parties working together to lay the groundwork for us to spin out and become independent again. It's like Bungie all over again!

Wasn't there this ralk of them doing an "AAA" exclusive for the X1?

Looks like after the Publisher jumped the Wii U ship, the Studios are now jumping the Xbox ship

accept bungie mattered.

i'll guess that lococyle didn't do well and they think they'll do better multiplat with ps4.  tbh,.. lococycle looked terrible and at the very least confusing.  i don't think it would have done well anywhere.  but hey,.. splosion man looked good so if i get a good title like that on ps4 i'll be happy to play it.

That's interesting. I guess something about the situation wasn't to their liking. Perhaps they simply weren't as profitable being tied to one platform, or they projected the ability to make a lot more with a distribution model that included the PS4.

Overeacting a bit dont you think? this is just a small AA studio going back to being independent, nothing more, nothing less.

Bungie also did before. And I agree the magnitude is much smaller, just pointing out the similarity.

Splotionman / girl and comic jumper were fucking great. That lococyle game was pure crap though.

Not sure if they have anything lined up, so not much of a big loss by the looks of things. ]

I wonder how this works. So Microsoft purchased them. Do they have to buy themselves back from Microsoft now?

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
