Yeah, they announced it way too early.

And the premise/device is exactly the same, simply more casual application demoed here then what they bothered with once it released.

And instead of elaborating, you are sidestepping and saying forget it again. If I miss a point, clarify. What exactly does it do in the demo that it hasn't done to some extent?

My point is, that the E3 2011 trailer showed us a Nintendo tablet and what we got was a Nintendo console with a controller including a screen.

I figured the change in controller is due to durability. Nintendo tries to market this thing to families, and the first things that popped into my mind when I relooked at that old 2011 controller is how the thumb disks popped off of the 3DS' during rough play, how the screen was not safe from hitting the ground without the analog sticks, and whether or not that gamepad got hot after prolong use. Odds are it was a durability and heat issue with the redesign. I'll upload some pictures of my IPAD and my Wii U Gamepad which are in the same house with the same 1 year old and have been dropped around the same amount of times (actually, since the screen of the IPAD is broken, the gamepad has been dropped many, many more times) and the gamepad is virtually unscathed.

As for the functionality, the shuriken game is practically unchanged

And there are several games (uncluding Star Fox and Fatal Frame) that as I said, provides an independant view on the second screen.

If we are talking about whether or not these features have been vastly underused then I can completely agree. But the features CAN be used, so it isn't like we bought something under the pretense that it could do something that it can't.
