I remember discussing this when the final Gamepad was shown, the shift from tablet to controller, going for comfort/third-parties/standards. Shame I can't find seem to find those old threads.

That golf is out in Wii Sports Club's Golf. We didn't get the zapper add-on but there's a couple of gyro shooting in a few games.

I loved my time with Wii U, but in retrospect, it feels like such a huge mistake since ppl who want or have a tablet, would just buy an iPad.

Hopefully Nintendo goes back to making conventional consoles with NX.

Meh, the Wii U delivered on something far more important than golf and plastic gun add ons.

Want to use the gyroscope and have a second independent view in games? Get Fatal Frame and Star Fox.

Want a plastic stick to slap your Wii U gamepad on? Well can't help you there. But with how many people here complain about how "heavy" the gamepad is, why would you want to put it on a stick?

And it's better that they released it with a controller with a touchscreen instead of a tablet with the 3DS circle pads. You couldn't hold that flat thing for longer than 10 minutes.

It wasn't anything until they showed off Pikmin 3, that's when it became an actual console. What good is there in a console without games. That's why their 2011 reveal was so awful.

Yeah, pretty much this. Can't believe people are disappointed we didn't get golf.... They do know Wii U has a lot of actual games right?...

People liked what they showed at E3 2011, unlike the final product. Stop defending it for the sake of it.

Defending, which is different from liking. There are a lot of Wii U fans that like their consoles but don't defend when some of us points its flaws.
