to be fair, You made me realise it came out on ps4, something I didn't know.

Great news for Nintendo

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Too bad they only counted "Steam" and not other sources for PC like GOG.com.

Probably the GOG and Humble Store sales have fallen under 1 percent, when they were only 1 - 2 percent after the first month without the additional systems.

The situation is bad for XB1 in this case. I imagine 90% of the sales for Sony was on PS4 as well. Not bad for a late port.

I was actually thinking that the low attach rate for XBO might hint that the PSN sales were more focused on Vita or PS3.

360 being unreleased should suggest low for that gen including the PS3. Vita of course shouldn't get much sales.

PS4 having double the install base should suggest at least 8%.

It's worth noting that any insterested Japanese gamers would probably look to the Vita version. But maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way. Since it supports cross-buy, the PSN version is naturally more enticing than the XBO version for anybody who owns two or more PlayStation platforms.

Not a lot of japanese would buy it as it has not been released in Japan. And yeah since it is revenue it shall only count once for each Sony sale.

Yes, but it says 20 percent from Wii U. PS4 has double the sales and Wii U still is far ahead. So we cannot really blame it on Wii U getting anything first. Let's not forget about the steam juggernaut!

Honestly its because the Xbox One and PS4 have so many other great games, something like Shovel Knight isnt able to compete on those platforms.

worst argument ever

10 months between releases on the Nintendo systems/PC and the PS4/X1.

And? That's not an excuse. The indie audience is not on those platforms.

OT: Indie developers don't sell well on Sony and MS platforms confirmed.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

I remember very well that when the game was released it was gloated as "the great exclusive indie game on Nintendo" and how Nintendo gamers were hyping it to be a mindblowing exprience, almost a GotY candidate. That's a big reason it got these sales - for months it was an exclusive and was hyped like there's no tomorrow. When it got ported, was compared to other indies on PS/X and got decent, but not mindblowing reviews, the hype totally died and the game was nothing special. That's why the sales on other platforms aren't anything special.

I remember very well the change in argument, that at first it was the second coming of Super Mario Bros., while after the port it was "yeah, a decent game, but has its flaws and all". That has a lot to with it. For me Shovel Knight isn't a special game or even a game I'm hyped about at all. I'll play it if I get it on PS+, maybe buy it on a crazy 70% sale, but nothing more. On Wii U/3DS it was seen as a revolution and the one and only indie ever created that's exclusive to Nintendo!!

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Stop making shit up. Nobody ever claimed it was the second coming of video game Christ. It was never anything more than a well-made retro platformer. Start naming some "Nintendo gamers," because the only person who comes to mind is Colin Moriarty, and... hahaha. Yeah. Man, what a blind Nintendo fanboy, am I right? He is the only person I heard calling the game a GOTY candidate.

"It's not like some fancy-pants restaurant with some new innovative dish that's gonna change the way you think about food; Shovel Knight is just like a buffet with all your favorite shit."

This is a Nintendo gamer. Note the review date, months before the PSN or XBO releases.
