Forums - Politics Discussion - Water found on Mars!

- Data collected from a NASA satellite reveals dark streaks seen on the surface of the planet are proof of the periodic movement of water

- this means the future mission to Mars could be made easier for astronauts there

- this also means there could be life on Mars

- Mars researcher at the London Natural History Museum Dr Joe Michalski says:

"We know from the study of extremophiles on Earth that life can not only survive, but thrive in conditions that are hyper-arid, very saline or otherwise 'extreme' in comparison to what is habitable to a human," the BBC reports  saying. "In fact, on Earth, wherever we find water, we find life. That is why the discovery of water on Mars over the last 20 years is so exciting."

Wasn't it already discovered years ago?
Or was it the moon?

This water is actually flowing intermittently, that's what the big deal is.  Yes, we've known about water vapor (it actually snows on Mars), but they'd never been able to prove that water in fact flows on Mars throughout the year.  This new data from the MRO proves that.

NASA is a bless.
