I dont understand why it sells so much.
Unless people are simply upgrading from the previous model and those numbers are included.

Hype...

At least many people in my country buy i-phone,to flaunt it,since it's an extremely famous product, and many celebrities own it,so some people feel special if they have it''looooooook I have an i-phone,you poor guy with no i-phone''...

I laugh at them, because hardware-wise my fairly cheaper phone is way better than i-phone,since it has higher specs(higher specs doesn't mean always better phone, and you can have a phone with lower specs which can be more efficacious,my windows phones taught me,unless the discrepancy is big)i-phone can boast for it's great os and apps but the oxymoron is that many owners of it,come and vaunt about it's camera, which pales in comparison even with quite older phones...

So its like Beats by Dr. Dre in all regards? Lesser quality product for the greater price?

I just cannot fathom such missuse of money by some people.

Around the Network

I really cannot understand the eternal Apple-bashing. I have heard various reasons, ranging from, hatred of the way Apple fleeces their customers to poor specs hidden from the Apple sheep. In the end, there is only one valid reason to dislike Apple products, and that is down to the closed nature of iOS compared to Android.

But lets get things straight, first and foremost. Apple phones are very expensive, yes I get that, but so are the brand new top level phones from the Samsungs & Sony's of the Android space. There is generally now nothing really in it. We are not seeing a difference of $100's, it's small by comparison. In addition to this, every new iPhone thats released is generally speaking, technically a market leader or at the least, up there with the best of the rest.

When I see all the negative comments about Apple, unless they are backed up with details of iOS' closed system compared to Android's "open" nature, then I have to think, it must be down to "Apple-envy". Yes you've got it. Most of the people that "hate" Apple, you will find that deep down, there is a hatred burning due to the "I can't afford" or "Won't pay out" for Apple products that generally lead them into the Android space for a cheaper alternative. And then convince themselves that Android is better and their phones are better to justify their reasoning behind not paying out for an iPhone.

Prediction (June 12th 2017)

Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.

PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)

PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)

That's pretty impressive. Almost as impressive as the blockbuster meeting between Spartan Locke and Master Chief. #Halo5

Wow, a person with an Iwata avatar says iPhones are selling on hype? You are disrespecting everything Iwata did in his time as Nintendo president with that comment. I've said that roughly a dozen times on this forum but here we go again: Apple is successful because they use Clayton Christensens research about disruptive products as the base for their product design. Steve Jobs called The Innovator's Dilemma "the most influential book I've read in my life". It's exactly the same strategy Iwata used when they designed the Wii.

And the rest you wrote is definitely nonsense (sorry to be so direct). The iPhone's speed and camera is always up there with flagship Android phones. Generelly, top of the line smartphones perform almost identical each year. Whether you buy a Galaxy S6 or an iPhone 6s, both are amazing phones and neither of them is popular because of hype.

He's not talking as a Nintendo fan, he's talking as a Windows Phone fan.

I should know, because I'm one!
